My partner and I have visited The Anchor Inn a few times in the summer, but only for drinks. We decided to come on Sunday whilst in the area for a roast and it did not disappoint! Compared to roasts we've had recently, this one is very reasonably priced and everything was absolutely delicious!! We had the pork belly which was so incredibly tasty. The vegetables were so fresh and cooked perfectly and you must add the pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese! Service was great...
Lovely pub with great food and a good atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Just one criticism: for the main course of seabass, veg was provided but you had to pay around £5 extra if you wanted any kind of carbs - potato, etc. It seems very stingy not to provide potatoes or another carb for a dish costing £24. For any main, in fact.
A very warm welcome from our arrival, we ordered several dishes for starters to share followed by mains, absolutely delicious. Our server could not have been more helpful and friendly. We will certainly be back, the setting is beautiful and lovely outside seating.
