The fried provolone was very good. The bread wasn’t fresh, it was chewy and tasted like it was popped in a microwave. I had a steak salad. The French fries were very good, but the steak wasn’t seasoned at all, and even though I ordered it medium and it was pink inside, it was tough. Overall I was disappointed and give the food a C rating. The waitress was very good.

We used J.W Halls for our rehearsal dinner, and everything was great! We are not from the area and weren’t familiar with the restaurant prior to, but we were so glad this is who we went with. Leading up to the day, the staff was so helpful in answering any questions and ensuring a seamless experience when we arrived day-of. The food was incredible! Also, we did an open tab and our guests loved having the fun drink menu to get drinks off of. Carla was our waitress and she was great - super friendly and very attentive. It was also great to be able to have the private room to ourselves which was really nice to have a dedicated space to spend time with our family and bridal party without being in the main dining area.

First time at JW Halls and we will absolutely be back. Service was great, all the food was delicious, plenty of options for whatever you are in the mood for. Did not have a wait on a Sunday afternoon. The salad bar was clean and well filled. Nothing to complain about!

Amazing Prime Rib!

Why isn't this restaurant close to 5 stars? Best food in Pittsburgh. Everything on the menu is really tasty and there's a massive variety of stuff on the menu to choose from. The staff is kind and gives excellent service. Booths are comfy. No idea who is giving this place any less than 5 stars but they're bozos.

We recently use JW Halls event room and I cannot say enough positive things about JW Halls!!! Our server was amazing! Very helpful, attentive and quick with the large amount of people we had in the room! If you’re looking to book an event for under 45 people, make it at JW Halls!!! Their food is amazing, the service was wonderful, staff answering all of our questions was very helpful, and the value ( included your drinks, rolls, they cut our cakes and had the room ready to go for us!) was very affordable. Thank you to JW Halls for making our event seamless!!

A hidden gem. Really nice to have this nicer option close to home (think elevated casual - perfect place for a nice dinner out or to celebrate a special occasion, but not overly fancy). Something on the menu for everyone!
