Out with an old friend and he suggested this restaurant. We’re both chefs who have been in the industry for decades. Tons of nearby parking and not too loud inside. It was a Saturday night and it was busy but there was no wait. We were seated in a booth in the bar which was perfect. Nice atmosphere. We ordered right away. We started with the fried provolone. Perfectly fried pillows of cheese oozing as I cut into it. Served with the best tomato sauce. He had wedding soup, chicken Parmesan w linguine. I had the spinach salad with warm bacon dressing, chicken Parmesan and linguine. Their tomato sauce is excellent. Slightly bitter. Slightly sweet. Delicious!! The chicken was big and cooked perfectly. I asked for more sauce because they give you so much pasta. She brought it right away. Never got her name though. Friendly and efficient. The spinach salad was so good. Onions, mushrooms and bacon on a nice amount of fresh spinach. Dressing was perfect. She brought a loaf of fresh bread and butter. Very good. They have a salad bar but she mentioned the spinach salad I was hooked. My friend loved the wedding soup. Lots of meatballs and fresh vegetables. The broth was really good. He loved his dinner as well. Never got to dessert as we were full. Took home a little leftover pasta. Can’t wait to go back. Great job guys!
The bartender, Kristie I believe, made the entire trip wonderful. Excellent service and timing of food delivery. Wife and I both had steaks which were delicious. We will definitely be going back.
My first time eating here everything was delicious.
My significant other and I wanted steak, but wanted to pay more for it than we needed to. So a steakhouse was the best choice!! Upon arrival, we sat in a booth, which was nice because when I sit in booths it's easier to kick the person sitting across from me without my feet being visible. I ordered steak and so did she. While we waited for our steaks with sides of rice, we made our way to the salad bar. I was still slightly congested from my head cold that day, so I accidentally sneezed all over the croutons and left an ounce of snot on them. I ate them all quickly to avoid spreading my cold. The lettuce was crisp and delicious, so I resorted to eating it with my hands straight from the salad bar until an employee asked me to stop. Once we got our steaks and rice, we thoroughly enjoyed them because they were top tier. I ordered my steak medium though, so I was confused when it was big. Must've been a misunderstanding! I like open mouth burping in restaurants to show my appreciation for the staff, so I did that consistently after every 2 bites and caused a small party to move tables. I guess they wanted to be closer to the salad bar. Excellent restaurant and service. (The bathroom smells like senior citizen perfume which is delightful)
Great food. Burger was cooked to my liking. I was hoping to try their soup of the day but they were out. We did arrive within an hour of closing time so can't really complain. Definitely want to come back and try more.
If you love finding hidden gems, don’t miss this one! With genuine servers and delicious food, J W Halls quickly made their way into our top 10 list. Both the steaks and seafood are high quality and seasoned to perfection, but the fresh salad bar might be the star of the show for me!
Steak was just okay. Not seasoned, so rather bland. Baked potato small and shriveled.
Food and salad bar are good, prices have really jumped, guess that's expected
Great food , great service, nice atmosphere, quiet location .Highly recommend ✌️

Food was probably the worst I've ever had. Steak was thin and flavorless. I asked for a side of horseradish sauce for my steak and that didn't even have any flavor. My baked potato was good at least. This was my first visit, but definitely my last as I cant justify the price for the mediocre meal I received.
I love liver and onions. Ordered them last Sunday. I could have resoled my shoe with the liver..I could barely chew it. I took half of it home and threw it away. I will never order that again at Hall’s. As always, the salad bar was great. I wish the salad bar was all that I ordered!
Always top notch!!!
This is a Beaver County backbone restaurant and there's a reason it's been here and popular as long as it has. The service is always excellent and the food is great and reasonably priced. Also, the salad bar with the cheese is worth coming here all by itself. An excellent restaurant for groups and families. If you're from out of town it's a great choice for lunch or dinner.
This was a first-time experience. Had always wanted to go.
The building is unassuming. Just sits in the back of a plaza off the main drag.
The waite staff were all kind and very helpful.
The portions seemed to be right sized; I wasn't left complaining that I spent more than I got. I had the Mariner. It was served hot, tasted fresh. The clam bisque was new for me. Hardy, think, and flavorful.
The homemade bread for the table is also excellent.
