I always love A1. The performance is always great. The food is delicious the atmosphere is pretty. I am just not a huge fan of some of the servers. They tend to give you an attitude if you ask for things.

So this is usually our favorite place but.... yesterday afternoon we were charged 20% gratuity for 2 people dining In 😱 our food went from the usual 60$ to 80$… this was the first time in years this happened to us. We get the same things every time!! Don’t get me wrong the food is always good but when expecting the usual price and get hit with a 83$ check… yikes

This place has terrible service, if you have an issue with your food you'll have to fight for it to be resolved. I received food with a hair in it. I called and was told they would replace it. When I came back for a replacement meal the lady said it wasnt in the system so I must have gotten it. I had to fight with her for her to keep her word. She was calling me a liar by saying I already got the food. I spent so much money here and will not be back since they don't take accountability for their errors. Horrible customer service!!!

I've visited A1 Japanese Steakhouse a few times over the years and typically stick to the hibachi side, but tonight, my wife and I decided to try the regular dining area. We started by sharing the Scorpion drink, which was fantastic—my wife especially loved the dramatic fire in the center. For dinner, she ordered the hibachi steak and shrimp while I opted for the aptly named Fantastic Roll and Shrimp Yaki Udon. Everything was incredibly flavorful, and the experience left me eager to return to try the hibachi grill again.

I used to love this place. However service has declined dramatically and it's a shame because the food is so good! The fact they include gratuity while provided subpar service makes it hard to want to return.
Ive been coming here for eight years, it blows my mind the management would make this stupid decision.
We won't be coming back.

Black bubbles at bottom of Lemon Oolong fruit tea was favorite part.
Spicy yellowtail sushi carne as 6 pieces...and they were small compared to other sushi places I've been to. Yellowtail was fishy, not spicy. Squeezing fresh lemon juice onto sushi was helpful, but don't have to do that at other sushi restaurants. Espresso martini was strong and pretty good. Ate couple spoons of Miso soup to confirm I still don't care for it. And it was not warm enough. I would enjoy the salad with no dressing I used to love their fried rice; but now it's prepared with too much teriyaki sauce and don't care for it as much anymore. Not much care went into preparing vegetables for veg hibachi. Green tea ce cream tempura was pretty good.

Unfortunately, I ate here. As soon as we got into the restaurant and they sat us down, I was ready to leave. I decided to stay & give it a shot for the kids. The pics attached will show how dirty the hibachi tables were prior to us sitting down to eat. I asked for my steak well done & it was still very pink inside. The rice was only half way done with the teriyaki sauce. Our cook didn’t seem very friendly and stood around afterwards for a tip, when he clearly did not deserve it from my group. The bill comes and they added drinks we did not order, they did go back to correct it. Honestly, I don’t see myself returning. My major concern is the cleanliness of this restaurant. I am glad I didn’t find anything crawling around. Do not recommend !
Parking: Plenty of parking spots as this restaurant is in a plaza.
Kid-friendliness: They do offer a kids menu
