Asked for a beef Swarma and got lamb ( it tasted good, just wasn't what I ordered), and it was served on a tortilla. Also, a can or soda is 1.80.

Service is commensurate with the fact that two people are doing all of it. It is worth the wait TOTALLY WORTH THE WAIT. To be fair the wait is not long. Not business lunch timetable unless you order ahead. However totally worth it to do so!

We had a dine in this restaurant with 5 people.. and it's a great cuisine and pretty much different from the normal mughal cuisine. We have ordered Combo 4 with all sorts of kebabs and two types of rice with raisins and all. It was fantastic experience..

Vegetarian options: There are a few of the vegetarian options there like falafel gyros or sandwiches with fries..

Very authentic Afghan experience going into this place, the decor is unique. Food was not up to my expectation but we did go on a really cold day very close to closing time, our chicken was undercooked. Their babaganoush is was very fresh and delicious.

We will give this another try since it's a non chain mom and pop kind of place.

I ordered about $500 worth of food for catering, with multiple meat and rice trays for about 30 people. On the menu it states white sauce comes with it. They gave me one small bottle of white sauce with it for 30 people. The cashier who is owner’s family agreed I should get more white sauce, and then the owner who is his dad came and started fussing and screaming about it. I told him I ordered $500 worth of food and why is he getting so angry, he started screaming at me to pay for the white sauce. As I left, I could see through the window he was screaming at his son for giving me white sauce, mind you I got $500 worth of food. TERRIBLE customer service. Please avoid this place.

Ordered from here while staying in Allentown and the food is DELICIOUS. Absolutely loved everything we got. The shawarma was so yummy and the roasted lamb my fiancé got was just as tasty. The samosas were such a wonderfully new experience for the two of us. Highly recommend!

Afghan Kabab and Grill of Allentown:

A Mixed Bag Afghan Kabab and Grill in Allentown presents itself well with a clean and inviting atmosphere. However, our recent dining experience left us with mixed feelings.
While the chicken and lamb kababs were decent, the ground beef kabab unfortunately fell short of expectations. The potato bolani, a dish we anticipated with excitement, was a significant disappointment. It bore little resemblance to the authentic version, lacking the characteristic flavor and texture. The green leaf bolani also failed to impress.
Areas for Improvement:
* Ground Beef Kabab: Re-evaluate the recipe and cooking method to enhance flavor and texture.
* Bolani: Seek guidance from experienced Afghan cooks to recreate authentic potato and green leaf bolani.
* Consistency: Ensure consistent quality across all dishes.
Overall:
Afghan Kabab and Grill has the potential to be a good addition to the local dining scene. With some adjustments to the menu, particularly focusing on the quality of the ground beef kabab and the authenticity of the bolani, they can significantly improve their offerings.
