The food was so amazing! I live an hour away and I will be sending an Uber to pick up my takeout. Would give 100 stars if I could! Tastes like you're in Syria!

Damascus is a gem tucked away on the east side of Allentown's miles of row homes. Parking is difficult. Tables are few. But there is nothing they serve that isn't worth any minor inconvenience. Nothing. I've eaten Middle Eastern food across the Lehigh Valley and even though I'm some old white broad (but a dedicated foodie), I will challenge anyone who can find higher quality hummus, baba ganoush, chicken shwarma, fattoush, foul, or majudara. Each dish is prepared with absolute finesse but served with little fuss. The flavors are divine. The family put so much love into serving their customers. I just wish I lived nearby. Every visit here is a gift.

They were resurfacing the streets near by so the owners were about to close up shop for the day when we arrived. They graciously reopened and fed us an amazing meal. The kibbeh and kabobs were fantastic and the fresh baklava might have been the best I've ever had.

It is a small mom & pop sort of place but well worth your time.
