Damascus is a gem tucked away on the east side of Allentown's miles of row homes. Parking is difficult. Tables are few. But there is nothing they serve that isn't worth any minor inconvenience. Nothing. I've eaten Middle Eastern food across the Lehigh Valley and even though I'm some old white broad (but a dedicated foodie), I will challenge anyone who can find higher quality hummus, baba ganoush, chicken shwarma, fattoush, foul, or majudara.
