My mom ordered the cake and had no issues everyone was nice and when she communicated what she wanted they understood and gave it their best effort. The cake tasted absolutely delicious and I personally loved the cake design for my son’s 7th birthday! They did an amazing job with the cupcakes as well. I would recommend this bakery for anyone wanting a delicious sweet treat! -but not too sweet 😉

Stopped in to get a last minute birthday cake for my 12 year old. They don't customize on McArthur Rd. They had a nice selection of small cakes. I picked a strawberry shortcake for $15. It's was pretty good. Will be back.

I remember in the 1980s my parents used to go to this bakery on front Street in Allentown and they always had really good stuff. I gotta check it out again. It’s nice to see your business has been around so many years like this.

This old-school bakery is a local gem! Been going here for years and the quality never disappoints. The staff is super friendly and prices are reasonable. Everything's always fresh .. Pro tip: go early for the best selection!

The Front Street location used to be my favorite bakery. Now it seems to be overrun with homeless people that hang out and insult the customers. I recently told a woman at the counter I was taking cheese buns I had ordered to my daughter in Vermont and luckily I bought extra because when I got home and tasted one they were stale. The worker had to have known this.
I am done with this bakery for good. It has been going downhill little by little for years. This topped it off for me.
I've been going to this bakery since the early 90s. Their bread is amazing as well as their cream filled donuts. This week I stopped in for a dozen donuts to bring to my coworkers. I was so deeply embarrassed that after me bragging about the awesome donuts, my co worker found a moldy donut!!
I took the donut to the bakery to show them and to my disbelief the young girl at the counter said "you have to bring all the donuts back so we can see how many were moldy to give you your money back". I told her I trashed the donuts, but to hear they have a "moldy donuts" policy tells me it's a normal thing for them.
This bakery has gone down the drain in my eyes. I will never return.

I wish Philadelphia had a Egypt star. So many muslim people need a good bakery and so do other people. I used to eat your bread when I was a young girl.
Stop here for the best cream-filled donut this side of the Atlantic. It is simple, and just a little sweet.
They have many other delicious breads, buns, and other baked goods, especially at holidays.

The eclair and donut could've been better. To be honest the filling had no flavor at all. But the lady at the counter was slightly rude with an attitude. Rude voice tone towards me and the other customer who arrived before me. It seemed as she wanted no part of us. I won't be going back.
They have one of the best Italian bread's which is the only reason I give it 3 stars.
Mary the original owner would be very disappointed at the state of the bakery now. It went downhill since Sue retired. Employee called the cream filled donuts boston cream to which it is actually called custard. Dry donuts, very little in stock, only thing the bakery has going for itself is the bread.

Taste, value for money, freshly made, authentic, and amazing people..for a lip smacking donuts/cakes and cookies. Ambiance need a step up but otherwise hidden gem of Allentown...
Love the donuts, & the BEST breads!! I also got a coffee cake... so moist!
I was really excited to try this place but was pretty disappointed.I loved the old school feel and the tiny hole in the wall place that not many people can find. Usually places like this are a gem. The container of walnut kiffles were hard, brittle, & dried out. Maybe they were just over baked or I bought a days old batch. I usually get fresh kiffles from the farmers market but I wanted to try these as they looked really good with lots of powdered sugar. The chocolate topped donut filling was great but the donut itself was dried out. Surprising since I came in early in the day so I didn't expect a dried out fresh donut. The cream puff was pretty good as it had the same kind of filling. Finally, the last item as the saving grace, a spinach croissant/danish. That was pretty flavorful and crisp. I always give places at least 2 chances so I might try out a different location next time. I will get some bread and rolls as well b/c it seems the best reviews are those baked goods.
