Their espresso martini packs a punch. Homemade Chicken Corn Chowder soup was good
Homemade broiled crab cakes were dry and didn't have much flavor. Potatoes as a side came with several small potatoes, but needed flavor. Peanut butter pie not available @4:00 Friday evening. Why put it on menu?

As this is my spot, I can almost walk here. It's disappointing to get pizza sometimes as it's a bit or miss, and the last couple of times, the wings were completely inedible

Management needs to address pizza quality or current pizza cook. I hate to leave this updated review, but facts are facts, the pizza has gone way downhill. The Paddock built their reputation on their bar style pizza, cooked well done, cheese to the edge with no visible crust. Crispy and delicious. My last two pies (add bacon and onion) over the last 3 months (after 8pm) were a wet, undercooked mess. Overly cheesed. Cheese not to the edge. Minimal toppings. After my first substandard pizza in October I told myself I'd give it one more chance, as my waitress advised there was a new pizza cook.
My pie last evening was equally below the standards I'm used to. Floppy and wet. Cheese not to edge. Under topped and over cheesed (Did you tell the waitress? No, I wasn't willing to wait for them to re-fire a pizza. Did you eat the whole thing? Obviously. It's pizza) So... sadly I'm done with this place unless they can get the pizza back to the level that made this place an Allentown institution. Maybe this can open a dialog that will eventually improve their signature item. As always, the staff was wonderful.
Previous 4 Star review posted mid 2022. Get the pizza. Bar pie with cheese to the edge. Augment it with bacon. Come on a Friday night and you might rub shoulders with a past Mayor. Good selection of craft beer. No reservations.
