Another cute little local bar. The food was so good and the drinks were good too.

The atmosphere was decorated and set up so cute and was pretty quiet.

Got the whipped feta dip and an expresso martini.
10/10 for the dip & 5/10 for the martini.

Good variety and great food. Service was outstanding. I was super excited to find out that they have gluten free bread! Fries and tater tots are yummy!

Came here for an event. Food was low quality for the cost and the service was poor.

If you’re in Allentown and skip Max & Butters, you’re basically disrespecting yourself. I went in thinking I was just going to grab a quick bite, but then I met the BLT and corn nuggets. Whoever invented these deserves a medal, a parade, and maybe their face on a dollar bill. Crispy, buttery, bacon-y bites of happiness that had me questioning my life choices up to this point. And don’t even get me started on the Happy Meal yes, I’m a grown adult, but happiness has no age limit. That thing hit harder than nostalgia at a high school reunion. The staff? Absolute legends. Friendly, fast, and they looked genuinely happy to be serving food that could probably end wars. One even checked on me like I was family pretty sure I would’ve been adopted if I’d stayed 10 more minutes. Bottom line: Max & Butters isn’t just food it’s therapy disguised in a basket of corn nuggets. Go there. Order the BLT. Order the Happy Meal. Thank me later.

We had a wonderful dinner at Max & Butters! The food was absolutely delicious and the cocktails were fantastic. They also have a really nice outdoor seating area that made the evening extra enjoyable. Our server, Matt, was excellent—friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing place. Like hidden gem level. If you are even driving in the general area of allentown stop here. We are from center city philly and this is better than any of the breakfast places there and we have alot of great ones. I got the ribeye salad and my partner got the french toast and eggs and then he ordered a second order of eggs.

My visit to Max and Butters in Allentown was disappointing. The food lacked flavor and creativity, and the service was slow and unfriendly. The atmosphere felt cluttered and dated, with decor that didn't seem to fit together cohesively.

Overall, the experience felt disorganized and lacking in attention to detail. I'd recommend trying elsewhere in Allentown.

Disappointing experience. Food was bland, service was unfriendly, and the atmosphere was lacking. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

I'm not sure what's going on with this restaurant, but my experience was a complete disaster. Walking in, I was greeted by an eerily empty dining area - not a single other customer in sight. You'd think this would prompt the staff to up their game, but nope.

The food was a major letdown. The dishes we ordered tasted incredibly bland, like they'd been sitting in a flavorless broth all day. Zero creativity, zero passion. It was like eating cardboard.

But the real kicker was the chef. I'm not sure if it was the head chef or just a line cook, but the person I saw in the kitchen looked like they hadn't showered in days. Their hair was unkempt, and their whites were stained. I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure that's not how you're supposed to maintain kitchen hygiene.

The overall atmosphere of the place was gross. The decor was outdated, the floors were stained, and the whole place reeked of neglect. It was like they'd given up trying to make the place look or feel welcoming.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food is subpar, the chef looks like they don't care about basic hygiene, and the place is a mess. There are far better options out there. Save your money and your stomach, and avoid this dump at all costs.

The bland food pairs well with the owner's rotten, nasty attitude. Hopefully the next business to open at this location will know what they're doing.
