Penn Pizza Restaurant

I gave a 3 for service....apparently I must have sat in the wrong area, maybe I was supposed to wait to be seated. I'm not sure I'm still confused on how it works. It is BYOB but I guess if ur not drinking alcoholic beverages that you brought in yourself you don't rate as a customer and you get the side eye. But oh well. Its a bit dark inside,, very low light maybe for ambiance so don't trip heading for a table, (u should probably ask them where they want you to sit because I think I sat too far away from the other people that were being served glasses for their wine) The food is still awesome however, I wouldn't recommend any of MY FAMILY but I would recommend to co-workers. I'm sure they'd have a better service experience than myself.

Food was fine. Got two medium pizzas. Pretty greasy but hot and fresh and ready when I arrived. Woman who helped me seemed kinda irritated with me, but maybe she was just having a bad day.

Extremely expensive. Two medium pizzas $40 (one with 1/2 topping, one with 2 toppings). Add peppers on your medium pizza for $4. I could buy three-four whole peppers for that! Signs posted everywhere warning you they had just raised their prices felt a little unfriendly.

Most upsettingly - a $1 fee added for literally no reason. Sign said it was a "service charge". Why would you just add a fee to the total for no reason? What service? Just a way to avoid jacking up the prices even more? Not a fun surprise when I had already ordered online. A dollar doesn't break any bank but the principle of it was very uncool and felt very dirty.

High prices for low quality food. Service is absolutely horrible and rude. Couldn't take an order right if you wrote it in Crayon and drew pictures for them.

Very satisfied. Delicious food all around. Great garlic knots and the sauce pairs well with them too. Got the gyro sandwich which was packed. All good food for the price. Definitely recommend.

Pizza was excellent. Waitress was very pleasant and attentive.

As a former NYer this pizza is so-so. Sauce is ok and the crust is not crunchy at all. Service has always been good but I decided to not order pizza from here anymore. I had a chicken parm sandwich my 2nd time there but the sauce just doesn’t taste good. Don’t take my word for it, try it for yourself. This is just my opinion and not base on facts.

I have been dining at Penn Pizza for close to a decade and have always had a wonderful experience. The comfortable atmosphere and service are excellent, as well as the varied menu, which has a broad range of items from which to choose. I’ve also brought friends and colleagues to the restaurant for meetings and have had nothing but great experiences. I can highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys fine Italian food. The service at Penn is also very expedient for anyone who is on the run and has limited time to eat.

Kim the Owner is terrible her restaurant is terrible. Her disgusting attitude is honestly really terrible. Don’t go here I wouldn’t give a cent too this lady and her terrible customer service and her miserable look on her face constantly. Get a grip lady you failed your “Italian” pizza shop sucks
