This restaurant is located in an area where I didn’t feel safe walking around. On top of that, the owner appears to price gouge anyone who isn’t a local or Dominican. I had checked the lunch special prices before going in, but was still charged a higher “tourist” or “gringo” rate. The rice and chicken stew lunch special was listed at $4.99, yet I was charged $10. The mofongo with chicharrón was supposed to be $9, but I was charged $16. When I questioned the difference, the owner gave me a dismissive look, like he expects everyone to speak Spanish.
While the yellow rice was flavorful and the portions were generous, everything was overly salty for my taste.

It's our family favorite dominican restaurant.
We love that we can sit to eat and enjoy great food. Love the family combos for a good price! Lots of parking, too.

We loved it. I had Mofongo with Pernil and my wife had Mofongo with Chicharron. Our waitress was pleasant and friendly. We talked about our 5 hour drive home after eating and she offered a cup of coffee they had just made a pot in the kitchen for the staff, and they don’t sell coffee. I recommend Punta Cana Restaurant.

I came here with family and friends during graduation week. Screen shots of the menu from possibly other customers showed prices from 4 years ago. When we arrived, there were NO prices on the menu. I trusted these people to charge a fair amount. I should have asked what the prices were before we ordered. This seemed like a mom and pop no frills local restaurant and I was STUNNED when the check came and an order for beef with some shrimp was $60 and a soup was $30! This is a completely OBSCENE rip-off. I live in a major city and I would expect these to be half the price at an upscale restaurant. Please take my advice and if you do decide to patronize these criminals, demand to see the prices in writing before you order. They don't seem to speak much English, but don't let that intimidate you. Better yet, find an honest place to patronize.
