5 stars isn't enough of a rating to accurately describe how incredible the food we had for our wedding was and how working with David was. Firstly, David is the most personable and honest individual I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I worked in event planning for 4+ years and have worked with many caterers and no one even comes close to the professionalism David has. Throughout my whole wedding planning process David answered every single one of my questions and requests in such a timely manner and really was honest about everything regarding the cost so we could stick within my budget.
That being said, even sticking to a budget the food was INSANELY good. My family are huge foodies and our cultures have incredible food/flavors, and the only thing everyone at our wedding keeps talking about is how amazing the food was. We had the Southern Comfort Station and let me tell you, I'm still dreaming about that fried chicken and brisket.
I can't seem to find the right words to describe how thankful I am to have been able to find and work with David and to have his food at my wedding. I would without a doubt recommend him to anyone who is looking for incredible food, but also ease of mind throughout the whole process of wedding planning. Thank you to David and his whole team for making our day something we will remember for the rest of our lives!

Simply Smooth provided the catering for my husband's surprise 60th birthday party and David and his team were fantastic, easy to work with, and ensured that every part of the event went smoothly. I had many many compliments on the superb food, with people asking who the caterer was, which usually doesn't happen! We had an extended appetizer portion with passed hors d'oeuvres, and the staff was friendly yet unassuming and brought food to people in every corner of the space! We choose buffet style for the remainder to the event and his staff made sure the trays were refreshed and plentiful. We had a larger then expected RSVP, and David adjusted our quantities ahead of time with no trouble. You can't go wrong with this team and with any item you pick from the menu. Can't wait for another excuse to use them!

From the planning process to the end of night service you and David's team went above and beyond. We had an outdoor tent wedding on my parents' property and we envisioned a family style meal. We worked with David to combine his picnic menu with his wedding menus to create something that we couldn't have even dreamed about. We had fried chicken, brisket, mac and cheese, cous cous salad, roasted vegetables, and cornbread. For the cocktail hour we did the typical passed cocktails and a seafood boil. Go for the seafood boil! We did that instead of a charcuterie because David said the cheese would sweat in the heat. It was the best decision--it looked amazing (a HUGE serving bowl) and guests loved it. David's staff was so great about making sure that we got food and drinks--I've heard of brides and grooms never tasting any of their food.Guest highlights included: the groom's grandmother declaring after her salad that the meal was great not even realizing that there was more to come; a cousin who said that the mac and cheese was actually good (apparently he is very picky about mac and cheese); our videographer snagging bowls of mac and cheese on the way back into the catering tent; gluten free guests happy with the cornbread alternative, and beyond.Book with Simply Smooth! David is just simply the best caterer we’ve ever worked with! He did our wedding and the food was just phenomenal!!!! He was so flexible and willing to help, helping us be at ease in a crazy time. He accommodated gluten free allergies beautifully and everyone cannot stop raving about the food!We did picnic style with cornbread, fried chicken, brisket, Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, and baked beans. Everything was perfect and served so quickly, no table was left waiting and his bartenders were phenomenal!!!! Would recommend David to anyone!
