Came in as a small group of 3. No host in sight. Waiting 5 minutes to be sat at our table to wait another 10 to be greeted by our server. Waited 10 more for our waters to come out. Asked about removing jalapeño from guac, not able to be done because it’s pre made… told server about my allergy to them and ordered chips with salsa instead.. to my Suprise… the salsa was full of jalapeño which is not mentioned on the menu nonetheless the server didn’t bother to tell me there was any in there after I told her of my allergy. We all ordered the blackened chicken pasta which is clearly a frozen dinner due to its lack of flavor and watery taste. When the busboy brought our food out we had to just sit there and look at it because we had no utensils. My husband had to go search at the bar for utensils. He found our waitress just standing around. No refills given of our sink water. Server continuously walked past plates with napkin on top at edge of table. This was our 1st and last time at sunset grille.

We ordered food to go. Our food was super soggy and small portions. We stopped by to get our food at the bar, drinks were healthy and reasonable. Facility was nice and clean, staff was kind. When we called to order, the person who answered the phone must have forgotten about us and never came back to get our order. We hung up after 10 minutes and ordered online.

We’ve been coming to Sunset for more than 20 years. The customer service has gone way down. Tonight we saw at least two tables get up and walk out due to lack of service. It took at least 5 minutes to be greeted. There were only two servers on a Saturday night for the entire restaurant and neither had any “get up and go”. There was no manager in sight, no hostess to greet the patrons. There are obviously problems with management and service. When we walked out at 6:30pm, multiple people were waiting for tables when the restaurant was just about empty at that point. The waiting customers were told there was a 20 minute wait. The food was fair at best but we have nostalgia for the Sunset and its history but unfortunately we won’t be back anytime soon.

Went there for dinner with friends tonight, and we were told 45 minutes to an hour wait. Then we were told that it would be at least another to get our food because they had a large party arriving soon...... no brainer. We left.

I have lived close by for 15 years now and have tried this place at least 10 times. Each time there is something lacking. My last online pickup order they forgot something and I called back to have them refund the card. No problem! But it never got refunded.The food itself is always just ok. None of it stands out to make you want to come back and I am a fan of both authentic and Americanized mexican food and this is somewhere in between.I've also been completely ignored by the bartender while they were on the phone right in front of me and had to call her attention to needing to place a food order and an empty drink that was right in front of her for too long during a slow lunch hour.I have gone and enjoyed live music there, and the atmosphere isn't bad. But after so many times of disappointment I felt a thorough review was in order.I'm not saying don't go, just lower your expectations first.
I went here for the first time on Sunday evening for dinner! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and dessert! The venue is like a sports bar, nothing too extraordinary but the food was very tasty! I was surprised at the many options to eat here! The Salmon and peanut butter pie was delicious!

This place is surprisingly, very very good. I went here many times with a friend of mine. It's situated in an atmosphere of an old homestyle house. I like the ambience, I like the bathrooms, I like the food, however, the staff is NOT nice. That is the problem with this spot. The bartenders are not friendly, and they do not cater to people that have tastes and preferences. I hope that they improve their style of management and hiring in the future. But, I would recommend their wings; they are very tasty.

Ordered buffalo chicken cheesesteak without onions. It came with onions then they re made it and it was so greasy the bread immediately broke in two and the chicken had to have been microwaved to be as dry as it was with the amount of oil spilling out causing the bread to not even stay together. The bar was dirty and still was sticky after bartender wiped it. Flies were non stop flying into our food. Gross

Went in for lunch with my grandson. We stood by the hostess desk for 10 minutes before anyone approached us. She told us it would be a 25 minute wait, due to the fact that she was the only person working. We left, along with the 8 other people in the waiting area. This place was great at one time,but that is no longer the case.

We had reservations for 6:30 and at 8:30, 6 out of 8 individuals had not received their food. When the food finally arrived, orders were wrong. When we asked for salsa and sour cream for chicken quesadillas ordered we were told they ran out of salsa. The food was definitely not worth a two hour wait. Not only did food not arrive, but drink orders also vanished. The waiters did not show any type of concern for this situation, instead they were dismissive and rude. While they put a lot of energy into the ambience, more needs to happen with overall management for this newcomer to be a success.
Walked in as they were closing. Had a drink at the bar, service was great. We were staying at a hotel nearby, appreciate the accommodation!!
