I recently visited this Japanese Ramen spot that left me with a few mixed feelings. The bowl of ramen was flavorful, though it featured some shrimp and mussels, which felt a bit light on seafood for the price. The fried calamari, served with a drink, pushed the bill over $30—a price point that seemed a little steep for what was offered. Additionally, if you wanted to add a spicy kick, there was an extra charge, which didn’t really enhance the overall experience. Overall, while the food was good and the presentation appealing, it didn’t quite live up to the expectations set by its pricing.

Says they open at 11AM. Came at 11:05 and waited til 11:20 AM and never opened. Also called and nothing. If you’re not open at 11 update the website or leave a sign on the window.

Although the people preparing the food are not Japanese the taste is close to what we get in Japan.

Stopped here to get lunch before going to see a movie and I was not disappointed. The broth in my Ramen had great taste to it and the caramelized beef was amazing. I will definitely be coming back

The food is pretty good. Not a lot of variety. For what there is, though, it is good. The service is not bad. The atmosphere is fair. The one thing I am not a fan of, and would have given more stars if this didn't happen, is when you walk in and order take out, they include a tip without letting you know. They fold the receipt over for you to sign, so you can't see they charged you for a tip. Normally, I wouldn't care. I'd tip myself no problem, but that is pretty deceitful.

I have been to Rakkii and am a huge fan. Thinking it would have been similar, I picked up lunch from this location today. The first thing I noticed was that the bag was noticeably light. Once I sat down and checked the food. I was vastly underwhelmed. With significantly smaller portions. Barely a cup of rice and the sukiyaki meat.
The flavor of the rice bowl was okay. Not the same quality as the sister restaurant. But for $14, I expect that there will be more food. I probably won't be coming back. I would recommend Ninja ramen if that's the case. Similar pricing, more food, superior quality and includes pickled vegetables too.

They are rude and the food isn’t fresh. It’s a Pennsylvania thing though so I’m not surprised just annoyed.
It was packed when we came so it took alittle while but the Ramen was really top tier in the area. Got a passion fruit tea and my wife got mango with bobba. Everything was really good. I will be coming back!

Restaurantji Recommends
My biggest problem, is I like the chain, but there's an inconsistency in the naming of sites between the two brand names that they have, I went recently to the eastern restaurant, and it was nothing like the Allentown restaurant, or the eastern restaurant was a fine sit down restaurant, and the Allentown is more of kind of a casual spot. Then you go to the Bethlehem location and it's again more of a sit-down, but it's got the other branding on the name of the restaurant so it's really confusing I think they need to find a happy medium for the naming and stop confusing customers cuz I don't know whether it's a sit-down dining experience, or I'm going to leave the kids at home, or a informal Ramen House or I can bring the kids and not worry about them bothering the other customers.

Listen...this ramen is out of this WORLD!! I got the Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen and it was the best ramen I've had anywhere which is saying something. They're amazing for just 2 people working they turned out orders so fast! Not many tables but I love that they do take out too. The Mango Green Tea is fabulous. My daughter and mother also got ramen and loved theirs. The dishes they serve everything on are beautiful as well. Will be coming here often!!

The food and the service were good. The only downside is that 90% of the menu comes with pork. They have one appetizer and 1 ramen meal that has chicken (fried). The spicy miso is not spicy at all, and I had to substitute chicken instead of the pork (which I was charged extra for). They also have a bao bun dish on the appetizer menu, but it also comes with pork, and they would not substitute pork for chicken. It is upsetting because their chicken is very delicious.
