“If you do not have a child you are not allowed in the family locker room” and that not being enforced was enough for to cancel my membership.

There is a reason this "gym" has so many bad reviews.I joined this gym mainly for the use of the indoor pool. I was assured when joining that there was a lot of open availabilityNot trueIn fact in the summer when they open the pool to non members, it becomes a circus in the locker roomsIt took weeks to schedule my initial consultation with a fitness coachThe "cafe" is a ridiculous selection of foods that are not aligned with your fitness goalsThe locker rooms are dirty. Yes, I did tell the front desk multiple times- but to be fair, there is a new person there every week- they don't careWhen I attempted to cancel my membership after a year. They made it ridiculously hard and drew out the process. The gym equipment was nice.

**Continuation from Devon Harris's post**2 days later...We go back to the gym, now our trial has expired and we're in our 3 day grace period to use the money towards our enrollment fee. We spoke to the manager, again. At this point, we just wanted a refund. She apologized saying that there's nothing they could do but they could give us two 7 day trial passes for friends and family. Now, think about that. They wanted US to promote their gym after they scammed us. Before we left, we asked for the owner's email, which they refused to give. They tried to give us the INFO email, but they admitted it was a shared email between the managers and owner. So, if we emailed, how could we be sure the owner was actually emailing us and not the mangers? So instead, we asked for the owner's phone number. They gave us his office extension at the gym. We assured them that we would be calling him. Again, this was all done in a public space. We tried to call the owner 3 times and gave him a week to respond. He did not respond to us. This really proved to us that they did not care about their customers and only cared about obtaining money.Since the owner/managers would not help us, they left us no choice but to charge back through my credit card company.

Best gym in the Valley

Expensive and the locker stinks pretty bad. The showers are decent but the splashback from the other shower stalls is mortifying.... For the price, it is not worth it at all. Join the y or the gym.

Just joined. Regretted it right away. This place is super dirty and seems to be run my clueless teenage staff. Gonna work on canceling my membership/contract. Heard from a number of people that the owner is a total creep. Got coerced into joining- should have gone with my gut instincts.

A beautiful gym that I will keep going to. Love the sauna and relaxing in there along with the steam room. I am shocked at the negative reviews. This is the best gym I’ve belonged to. Period. It’s clean, friendly, has everything you need and a luxurious pool setting with a bar in the summer.

Great facility

Really Useful

It is a beautiful and wonderful place to the right people. Upon entry, we are impressed with the building, the parking lot and the service desk and the very spacious lobby. Everything gives the aurora of a resort. the basketball court is NICE and clean. The bathrooms and family change rooms are nice. We did not try the machines. The drawback for us is the swimming pool. The room and water temperature is too not for training. For kids to play, there is no lifeguard on duty. Every piece of metal in the swimming area is rusty. The good part is that there are bicycles in the water for people to ride. Then i realized that it is called “Wellness Center”. Maybe it is meant for people to do therapy or recover or hang out. I hope the center could survive and prosper. I do not think it is for serious swimmers. but if you are close by, this center offers a lot of warmth and comfort and niceties like a Florida resort.

It is a very very nice health club.

I use everything on premesis - so while significantly more $$$ - the indoor pool is unrivaled in the valley. The steam room on top of the sauna is ++good. Basketball courts, weights, summer outdoor pool and on site cantina with adult beverages - i could easily spend hours there - even in the winter!

Place is amazing, has everything you could imagine, kinda expensive though is the only downside

Place is ridiculously incredible. Highest monthly fee in the Valley but so worth it, even during peak times it has a chill atmosphere and the outdoor pool and climbing gym are incredible

Very fine facilities, lots of classes and activities both indoor and outdoor. Never overcrowded. Ladies locker room needs better handicap accommodations.

My teen daughter joined the gym and went for about a month before deciding it was not a comfortable place for them. (too many groups of teen boys that weren't supervised). She had signed a contract for a year. so basically learning an $82 a month lesson about signing contracts. The wording shows that you must cancel the contract on the 30th day prior to the next billing date. So my daughter went off of the date the money was withdrawn from their account in June ( June 10th) and requested the written cancellation form on the 10th of July to complete their year membership which had begun August 2022. The form was requested that morning, and an email was sent, when it hadn't been received by early afternoon a second call was placed. The form finally arrived at 4:30pm. She was tied up that evening and the completed form was returned at 7:16am the following morning. But ,... Even after jumping through the variety of hoops required for her to get out of her contract, and confirming that it was cancelled, imagine our surprise when this morning there was a charge from Valley Wellness in the amount of $82. Upon speaking to the facility on my daughters behalf, I was told that the date the termination letter would have needed to be returned was by July 9th. as that was the date the contract was signed. However no one that we spoke to back in early July brought it up that the form had not arrived on the correct date. In fact I remember asking on one of the phone conversations to clarify that all was good and no more payment would be deducted, and was answered, that should be correct. If you have read this far I hope you can understand our frustration. I'm not sure which upsets me more, the fact that they can see that she has not been in the gym for 10 months and never reached out to find out why, just continued to charge her $82. a month, or that she tried to adhere to all the requirements to cancel and still ended up being charged and extra month, because the request was made the morning of July 10th instead of the evening of the 9th- Ridiculous. Shows me where their only focus is,... the fees not the clients.
