This is the only place around in Ambridge, so I can understand why it's an institution. And the people are very friendly. It's take out only and the pizza takes 20 minutes (calzones 25), so call ahead or figure out how you're going to kill the time. The pizza was pretty good, but nothing special - although having the cheese under the sauce is a little alarming. The homemade sausage is a standout, as are the brined green peppers. I found the calzone to be better than the pizza - very nice texture to the crust.

Frank's has been a staple in the Ambridge community as well as the go to for pizza nights since I was a kid! We continue the tradition of pizza night now with my young family. Always a fan and highly recommend to anyone who wants a good slice!

I had Franks for the first time this weekend and it was the best pizza I’ve ever had. Delicious dough, cheese and sauce. Well balanced with a nice crunch. I 100% will be getting this pizza again. Great price as well.
Service was good, food was all right at best definitely had better, And a atmosphere felt just like you would walk into a pizza shop back in the '90s or '80s really good

Great pizza with an eclectic experience. Ordered at 4:30 on a Friday and had to call several times because the like was busy. When I got through and ordered 3 pizzas, one cheese, one pepperoni and one white, I was surprised to hear one hour and fifteen minutes wait. Arrived after 45 minutes and waited the rest on a bench. The place was like an Italian assembly line. About 6 folks were working, needing dough, covering pizza and getting them in and out of the oven. When I got the pizza home I was again surprised to see the sauce on top. Overall all the varieties were tasty. The pepperoni was think and rich while the white pizza had nice chucks of fresh tomatoes. Not sure how soon I'd go back but glad I experienced this pizza shop.

I got a white pizza on Saturday. I just love their white pizza, I got the black olives but ya forgot the pepperoni. That's ok it still tasted great
