TRAX INN is a “hidden gem”on a dead end street in Ambridge, Pennsylvania.
At its inception, the motor hotel and restaurant serviced ConRail and Norfolk Southern Railroad employees. The railroad booked all 60 rooms, every night and the restaurant kept the railroaders fed.
Today, the facility is privately operated and has survived economic downturns by providing excellent service.

First time here and was pleasantly surprised. There was plenty of seating, The service was quick, and their food was excellent. It's your typical diner fare with egg, bacon, home fry or hash browns, that you can order in a variety of combos or their special which we got was a bowl. Everything was cooked perfectly, and their corn beef hash was also very good. Bill for two of us was around $35+Tip. The sausage Biscuits and Gravy, something I order at every breakfast spot...
Don't be fooled by its appearance - this little diner has DELICIOUS food at good prices. My Philly-native friend said his cheesesteak was the best he's had in the western half of PA, and the Yuengling fried fish is the best I've had in many years (sooo crispy, and no bad aftertaste)! Will definitely be back. Thank you!
