Espresso martinis were great! Although we were served spoiled food in two different dishes. Quality control needs to be improved. Just say you ran out! I don’t want expired food. Service was very nice and accommodating.

We love the food, service and atmosphere of Thunderhead. Tonight we enjoyed their peanut butter bacon burger from the specials menu. It was wonderful!

At yesterday's lunch, service was friendly and attentive. IPA selections were season-appropriate. Thundermelt with fries were satisfying. Boneless short ribs were an unappealing mauve. Though tender, it lacked flavor as did the gravy. (Need the rib bones.) Encircled with carrot slices like a sunflower, the plating was juvenile. (Fan those slices.) Lemon Ricotta cake had balanced flavors and excellent texture. The lightly-carmelized exterior formed a delicate crust. Just 2 or 3 fresh berries would have been perfect garnish. Adding the frozen strawberries destroyed the dish. They looked regurgitated. We will return to try brunch. Hopefully by then the varnished tabletops will be replaced with hard wax so the paper menu and napkins don't get pasted to it. We could not rest our wrists on the edge and wouldn't place flatware or a phone on that sticky surface. A tabletop that feels like fly-paper is most unwelcoming. An orbital sander/buffer is much cheaper than tablecloths.

I chose this restaurant because it's near the Appalachian Trail and it looked like a nice spot to explore with good looking food. Our greeter/server Cody was very friendly, polite and helpful so it was the perfect customer service experience. I'm glad I went with the burger because the quality was unlike anything I've had for a long time, plus it was at a great price. I got a hamburger with fries (they were also delicious) for $15 and my husband got the mushroom swiss for $17. There is an outdoor patio if you like that sort of thing and they offer specialty cocktails and beers.

What a gem! Grab a bite before or after getting on the Appalachian trails, it’s connected to the Lodge. It’s going to be a hit. Eat indoor or out. Music adds to an enjoyable ambiance Food is freshly made to order. Look at the mozzarella triangles. Hand breaded, not that frozen junk you fine at other places. Desserts made on premises. Staff are pleasant. Owners are lovely. My pictures didn’t do the food justice. Go try it yourself! It’s worth it.

We enjoyed our meal at Thunderhead very much! The service was excellent and they were extremely accommodating. Everyone was smiling and even chatting with our 2 year old. The food came out promptly. I had the short ribs and they were delicious. Perfectly cooked. My husband had the burger and it looked amazing. The fries were to die for! Our dessert was made fresh and was the perfect end to our meal. Can’t wait to go back!

Great dining experience today with my family. Beautiful restaurant and awesome food!
Kudos to the staff who stopped what they were doing to handle a situation where a baby had a bathroom accident. This seemed to make a nearby table noticeably angry where the man acted more of a toddler than the actual baby. Overall great staff, great food and great environment!

No meal I've had has been less than excellent. Place is clean, friendly and docile. Perfect balance of rustic and charming, with romance and class.
Arrived about 4 on Sunday. Not busy, seated immediately. Staff was prompt and welcoming. Service was very good. Wife had fish and chips. I had the braised short rib. Everything was really really good. Carrots were a little under done for my taste but the short rib was the star of the show.
