At yesterday's lunch, service was friendly and attentive. IPA selections were season-appropriate. Thundermelt with fries were satisfying. Boneless short ribs were an unappealing mauve. Though tender, it lacked flavor as did the gravy. (Need the rib bones.) Encircled with carrot slices like a sunflower, the plating was juvenile. (Fan those slices.) Lemon Ricotta cake had balanced flavors and excellent texture. The lightly-carmelized exterior formed a delicate crust....
I chose this restaurant because it's near the Appalachian Trail and it looked like a nice spot to explore with good looking food. Our greeter/server Cody was very friendly, polite and helpful so it was the perfect customer service experience. What a gem! Grab a bite before or after getting on the Appalachian trails, it’s connected to the Lodge. It’s going to be a hit. Eat indoor or out. Music adds to an enjoyable ambiance Food is freshly made to order. Look at the mozzarella triangles. Hand breaded, not that frozen junk you fine at other places. Desserts made on premises. Staff are pleasant. Owners are lovely. My pictures didn’t do the food justice. Go try it yourself! It’s worth it.
