The Exploding Onion
So pretty and dipped in our special seasoning. Deep-fried to perfection. Served with thousand island dipping sauce.
Momma's Corn Bread
A big chunk and baked fresh daily from straight-up cornmeal. Served with melissa's homemade apple butter.
The Awesome Harmon
A quarter-pound of 100 percent beef topped with Colby cheese, bacon, and our infamous chuck wagon beans on a big kaiser roll. Beans served on top or on the side.
Harmon's Wife
A quarter-pound of 100 percent beef topped with cheese, ketchup, mustard, and onion.
The Pirates Club
Sourdough bread toasted and stuffed with turkey or ham. Bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise.
Al's Steak and Cheese
A specialty big bun loaded with chopped steak covered in red sauce and then topped off with provolone cheese, shredded lettuce tomato, and mayonnaise.

Great service and great food. The animal droppings are great and the homemade soups are the bomb. Always good sized portions and fast service. Thanks ladies, you never disappoint! Oh, and it is always a beautiful ride, but beware the deer... we almost got fresh venison within a half mile of the entrance.

The Road kill Cafe is a great little country restaurant with great food with generous portions at reasonable prices. They have a small general store that carries the necessities for camping and cooking. A wonderful place to visit and have a meal,

Typical off-the-beaten-path mom-and-pop type of establishment; been coming here a lot since I was a kid, and although the interior of the store/restaurant has changed over the decades, the food and experience is always out of this world. The history and how the place got started is a fascinating story. I always love bringing people here when it's their first time; highly recommend checking them out, not far at all from I-68!
