I recently attended a baby shower here and everything was amazing! The outdoor area was so nice and the food was incredible. They made a variety of dips with pita bread and a meat platter, everything was so delicious, especially all of the lamb options. The staff was very friendly and the indoor atmosphere is also really nice. I'd highly recommend coming here for a nice night out or a special occassion!

Everything was so delicious! The food tasted fresh and perfectly seasoned — especially the kebabs and appetizers. The atmosphere is cozy, elegant, and very clean. The staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome right away. Definitely a place I’d love to come back to again!

I recently attended a baby shower at Avva and everything was perfect! All of the food was incredible - honestly some of the best lamb I’ve ever had. The outdoor area had the perfect vibe for the shower, and every staff member we interacted with was super sweet and accommodating. Highly recommend for any special event or just a fantastic meal out!

The taste is not good enough. The meat is too fatty. The place is good and people are nice. I also liked the tea.

The food was delicious but overpriced for the quantity and restaurant atmosphere. We sat outside in the covered patio but wished we had sat inside, since the outdoor seats/tables were metal/wire and not very comfy

Their meze is super fresh and tasty. I’ve tried both the Adana and the Beyti, they were outstanding! The service is quick, and the staff are really kind and welcoming. The outdoor patio has such a chill vibe. Definitely recommend this spot for authentic, delicious food!

I love Mediterranean food, but this was average at best.
The appetizers were good (piyaz and a dish comprised of roasted eggplant and Kalamata olives with feta, can’t recall the name)
We also ordered the seafood mixed grill and the meat mixed grill. The bronzino was very good. The octopus and shrimp were awful—inedible. The octopus tasted like manure, and the shrimp was cooked beyond belief. The meat (lamb, chicken, beef) mixed grill was ok. Overall, it was quite bland and there was very little flavor/seasoning. Also, there were no sauces served with these $85/each platters, and when I asked for sauce, they charged us.
I hope they improve. If not, there are much better options in Pittsburgh.
If you go, stick to appetizers/mezze.

I just left the restaurant. I came there with really high hopes because I was hoping it would be one of the better Turkish restaurants in Pittsburgh. Even though I arrived at 8:30 pm, the service was slow and the waiter was very rude. I drank a Margarita as a cocktail, but it was terrible. The Meze were good, but the Shish Kebab came raw. This is unacceptable for a Turkish restaurants. The waiter didn't take our order for dessert at 9:30pm, even though the restaurant closes at 10. We couldn't have dessert or drink tea.

I had the baba ganoush and the çilbir. The baba is the variable texture variety with only a slight flavor from the grilling. The çilbir was delicious! It is normally eaten as a dip, but they were happy to provide me a spoon.
Service was attentive and efficient.
