Very nice. Didn't need morning (9 am) starter telling me 4 times to make turn in two hours. If it's that important to the club, have a ranger moving slower groups.
We had the wrong day for our tee time, but Bob the starter accomadated us. Such a great laid-back atmosphere and would recommend playing here. It's a tight course, not long, but trees on both sides of fairway. Yes too add to my review, nothing to eat after nine holes or a cart person, gotta have it.
Went for Sunday brunch. Very nice choices, omelet station and ham, carved to order. Service was great.
Teed off at 11 am on Friday and had to leave because we were on hole 14 by 4:15. Went into the pro shop to use the bathroom… guy said how was it I told him we were on pace for a 6 hour + round of golf. His response was that’s not surprising. I said do you have a ranger he said no. He said we typically only do something if someone complains. I said well I’m complaining, his response was I’ll write it down.
I had an excellent experience here. The course was in fantastic condition, the layout was both enjoyable and challenging, and the overall atmosphere made it a place I immediately wanted to come back to. Everyone I interacted with was welcoming and professional, which made the experience even better.
After spending time here, I can confidently say this is a course I plan on visiting often, and I’ll very likely be pursuing a membership in the future. I’m looking forward to playing many more rounds here. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great golf experience.
A fantastic course if you have no interest in getting what you paid for. Almost $80 per round for dirt strewn fairways and cratered greens. Didn’t encounter a single ranger during my 4 hour, 13 hole round to assist with pace of play issues. You have so many options for golf in PA, this should be considered your last resort. And even then, self respect is more important.
Well maintained course with unforgiving rough. It pays to stay in the fairways.
Fun spot shot one of my best rounds
Painfully slow
The food was fine, the fries were good, the shrimp flatbread was pretty tasty. I had the Sheppard pie and honestly it was not made like a shepherd pie, I was not impressed and didn't like it but this is just a personal opinion. The waitress was nice and did her best the whole time. On a side note it would have been nice to know she already added the tips to our check. Non of that was mentioned and has foreigner we all didn't realize that and added tips on top of that. Mistake on our end but still would have been nice to be aware of. Overall a good experience.

Nice clean. Not many people
Shannondell policy of no Golf carts to be given out after 2 PM is ridiculous! On 4 different occasions, I’ve been told, “if you want to walk, only then you can play.. it’s our policy “!! What a ridiculous policy… people go and spend their money and are told off this ridiculous policy. Obviously they don’t want your business. Well, for Shannondell’s information, there are many other better places to play around in this area and they happily accept my money.
OK shape but holes are tight. Bring a helmet
I was interested to see a cluster of recent poor reviews, as I used to play here a lot and always had a good experience.
Today, not so much.
They allow a single to book a tee time online, which isn’t that common, but they back that up with absolutely no knowledge of how to send off groups. Sending out a single behind 5 foursomes and before another is a joke. 3 starters/rangers, but they are all just sitting under an umbrella. No carts were available at first, so I carried my bag over to the fairly distant putting green and back.
Zero enforcement of pace of play or course etiquette. Dudes playing loud music, driving all over, looking for balls for 10 minutes. I’m not a snob, but there is a limit.
I drove off the course after 5 holes took 1:30 to play. I won’t be back, too many other nearby options who actually care about golf. Golf here seems to exist as an afterthought to the banquet facility.
We had a gorgeous wedding at The Club at Shannondell! I had multiple people come up to me at the wedding, asking how I learned about this gem of a venue, and honestly all I could say was sheer luck! Of all the wedding venues we toured, The Club at Shannondell had the most personality, had the most delicious smelling food wafting in from the onsite restaurant, and we knew it would be where we got married. Huge shoutout to the Events Manager, Roxanne, who was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process and a huge help.
Here is a couple of key things that make this place stand out above the others:
-Chadwick's, the onsite restaurant and source of our catering, was delicious. We chose the Stations menu, and every single item was incredible, even the passed appetizers during cocktail hour looked handmade, and my only regret is having so much to do as the bride that I couldn't eat more! However, our dinner was spectacular with multiple chef-attended stations, and I felt like we got an incredible value for the experience.
-Ballroom space: This venue is so beautiful and requires minimal additional decor. From the huge black chandeliers hanging from the ceiling to the giant fireplace in the center of the room, there is a wonderful warmth to the room that is hard to fake. For my wedding of about 60 people, it was a perfect amount of space. I’d caution that it might be a little cramped for 150+ guests, but if you’re struggling to find the “just right” sized venue, you may find some luck here!
-Package value: We saved a lot of money using this venue simply because there are so many perks associated! By booking through The Club at Shannondell, we received our cake complimentary from The Master’s Baker, the centerpieces were covered by Mole’s Flowers, we got a free game of golf at the course for 4 people, we had an incredible private menu tasting, and also got a free hotel room for our wedding night (and free shuttle for guests!). Overall, there was a lot of savings without compromising on quality! However, if you are planning on having a large bridal party, the bridal suite may be slightly small, though that was not an issue for my situation.
-Staff: As I mentioned, Roxanne the event manager did an amazing job throughout the entire process. On the wedding day, the dining staff were wonderful as well. They checked up on us frequently and I must give a special shoutout to the server who personally fetched my husband and I dinner ahead of everyone else.
Overall, we had an amazing experience and whenever we are craving our wedding food again, we can always head on over to The Club at Shannondell and eat at Chadwick’s.
