We had a gorgeous wedding at The Club at Shannondell! I had multiple people come up to me at the wedding, asking how I learned about this gem of a venue, and honestly all I could say was sheer luck! Of all the wedding venues we toured, The Club at Shannondell had the most personality, had the most delicious smelling food wafting in from the onsite restaurant, and we knew it would be where we got married. Huge shoutout to the Events Manager, Roxanne, who was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process and a huge help.

Here is a couple of key things that make this place stand out above the others:

-Chadwick's, the onsite restaurant and source of our catering, was delicious. We chose the Stations menu, and every single item was incredible, even the passed appetizers during cocktail hour looked handmade, and my only regret is having so much to do as the bride that I couldn't eat more! However, our dinner was spectacular with multiple chef-attended stations, and I felt like we got an incredible value for the experience.

-Ballroom space: This venue is so beautiful and requires minimal additional decor. From the huge black chandeliers hanging from the ceiling to the giant fireplace in the center of the room, there is a wonderful warmth to the room that is hard to fake. For my wedding of about 60 people, it was a perfect amount of space. I’d caution that it might be a little cramped for 150+ guests, but if you’re struggling to find the “just right” sized venue, you may find some luck here!

-Package value: We saved a lot of money using this venue simply because there are so many perks associated! By booking through The Club at Shannondell, we received our cake complimentary from The Master’s Baker, the centerpieces were covered by Mole’s Flowers, we got a free game of golf at the course for 4 people, we had an incredible private menu tasting, and also got a free hotel room for our wedding night (and free shuttle for guests!). Overall, there was a lot of savings without compromising on quality! However, if you are planning on having a large bridal party, the bridal suite may be slightly small, though that was not an issue for my situation.

-Staff: As I mentioned, Roxanne the event manager did an amazing job throughout the entire process. On the wedding day, the dining staff were wonderful as well. They checked up on us frequently and I must give a special shoutout to the server who personally fetched my husband and I dinner ahead of everyone else.

Overall, we had an amazing experience and whenever we are craving our wedding food again, we can always head on over to The Club at Shannondell and eat at Chadwick’s.

I enjoy the course. Well kept but way too many dog legs and intersections that you’re not safe at. Also the pace of play should be better managed. Additionally, I called 10 times over the last 3 hours and no one has picked up the phone from the golf shop.

Eventually I was redirected to another employee of the restaurant I assume, however, I could not understand her nor get any of my questions answered.

Delicious crab cakes and wonderful ambiance and service.

This course is decent but they need to fire the older gentlemen who works in the pro shop. I feel bad for saying it, but he refuses to answer the phone and just lets it ring, making modifying a tee time basically impossible. It’s not fair for the people who spend a lot of money to play there often.

I just don’t like this course. I’ve tried it on a few occasions and my feelings haven’t changed. The layout is tight. There’s moments when three holes converge their fairways/greens with such confusion that you’ll have difficulty knowing where to play. The condition of the course isn’t that bad, I t’s just a poorly designed. The clubhouse is not that bad - kind of average for a public venue.
I’ll try my best not to play here again.

If there was less than 1-star possible, I would do that! This is the worst place I've played at. Terrible customer service at the Pro Shop and tee time reservations going through Golf Now is a nightmare if you had to cancel and want your money back. Golf Now will not refund unless they talk to the Pro Shop and the Pro Shop does not care and never answers the phone. So, now I'm out $75. Will never play here again!

Edit: dropping this down to 1 star, the golf department here is horrible. Front desk gave me a receipt for 3 golfers, but the owner/head of golf department won’t process the refund for the 4th golfer, just absolutely terrible customer relations and attitude you get from the employees here

Customer service at this course is seriously lacking, very unprofessional and downright rude. Front desk staff doesn’t have a care in the world and they are extremely unhelpful. Course isn’t nearly nice enough to justify the prices and headache that you get from going here, play somewhere else in the area..

Worst customer service. Reserved tee time. Paid at Golf Now. The course close down for the day. They said I will get my refund. I called Golf Now 3 times (1 hour wait, 30 minute wait, and then 20 more minutes). They did not answer. No email and they claim a chat but the chat has no link and is inactive.

I called Shannondale 3 times. They continue to deflect and refuse to assist with getting me my money back. It is nearly impossible to get in touch with someone.

If they cannot do basic service of ensuring they are refunding people for closing their business down then I cannot image how the course itself is properly maintained.

Course is in good condition, greens were great and very soft.

There are a lot of dog legs here so not a lot of chances to hit driver if you hit 250+.

Pace was good for Sunday morning, about 4hr20m for our foursome on a 9:40 tee time.

No beverage cart but they have drinks and shopping bags of ice at the clubhouse. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Keep your head on a swivel here, there are a lot of tee boxes and greens that sit in the line of fire, we had nearly 10 close calls in our group and it seems people give up on calling fore after a while because its so coming here.

Worst customer service ever , called the pro shop in which I talked to two people who barely spoke English , had a horrible time understanding them , heard people talking in the background the whole time which makes me think it’s a call center that’s scamming people, when I asked to speak to a manager they said let me try to reach the pro shop , which is crazy cause that’s the number I called , she told me no one was able to answer and that my tee time I booked was givin away , they also ask for your credit card info which wasn’t a thing before , just all around bad service , wouldn’t even play a free round of golf here

We only play here because it has open tee times when everywhere else is booked. That should tell you a lot. We call this course “the kennel” because it’s half dog legs. Too expensive for what it is. 19th hole is hit or miss here. Greens and fairways are ok. Tee boxes can be dicey in areas. Carts ok in parking lot. Staff always good. Not the worst course, not my favorite. Pace of play can be arduous at times. Can be narrow in areas , and precise tee shots are required. Beverage cart can be tough to spot. Carts and paths in good shape.

Shannondell Swim Club very expensive for a single person for the season!

Play was so slowwwww and they did nothing about it. 5 hr and 40 min round. I will never return.

Course has a lot of overlapping holes causing you to hear “fore!” very often.

Clean, spacious with great food.

Worst public course I’ve ever played. Forced to play 200 yard shots from the tee with trees blocking you out and all pin placements are on 25 degree slopes
