We never usually go out for Thanksgiving, however since we were only four people this year, we decided to go out. What a mistake. The buffet was terrible. EVERYTHING was cold. They set up the buffet in a tent outside. Not only was the food cold, nothing tasted very good. Turkey was dry, beef extremely rare and vegetables had no taste. It was also the worse apple pie I ever had. It was hard or stale. Couldn’t really tell if it was frozen or not. On top of it being an extremely disappointing Thanksgiving meal, they added a 20% service fee on top of an already expensive buffet. Never again.

My family and I made reservations for the brunch buffet with Santa this past weekend. It was a complete disappointment. We have done this same brunch multiple times and the kids really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, this time was horrible. The website and restaurant clearly stated the brunch was 10:00 to 2:00. We made our reservation for 1:00. When we got there it looked like most of the food had been sitting for hours, they did not replenish any of the food on the buffet. They actually ran out of some things because we had to ask for if they would be putting more out. We basically were eating the scraps for $40+ a person. The service was horrible. You couldn't get your water refilled. There were no Christmas activities for the children. Apparently, they had Christmas cookie decorating but of course just stopped putting more decorations and cookies out for the children who were not there early enough. Santa actually left while we were eating! it was a complete s*** show. There were at least two managers and I can not believe this was acceptable for them. One manager actually went around the table interrogating our children to see how old they were. I guess to make sure anyone over 4 did not get a free meal. Which all the kids should have gotten a free meal in my opinion considering the nasty conditions of the children's buffet (ketchup all over the table, clumpy crusty mac and cheese). I understand it was brunch but don't advertise it is to 2:00 if you are going to shut it down before 1:00. If you are willing to pay this type of money for a nice brunch, I suggest you skip Hartefeld and go to the other similar clubs in the area. My family and I will never eat here again which is unfortunate because we used to enjoy the grill and pub.

The grilled salmon salad was perfect. Every ingredient was so full of flavor that I didn't bother with the salad dressing. I'm looking forward to having this again.

If you enjoy eating at a restaurant where you have to ask 3 or more times for your drinks or dinner, and wait upwards of 50 minutes for your food, then this is the place for you!

Pasta was bland, over cooked and sauce was horrible. Chicken “parm†was a chopped and formed patty with a thick gross bread coating. Meatballs were gritty and had a very odd flavor. All food at the event was the absolute lowest food service quality.

Lou and staff went above and beyond as always for my baby shower last weekend. My family and friends were raving about the food and the patio location was perfect! Kelly was so sweet and used ribbon from the gifts to make a mini clothesline to hang up the baby clothes as I opened gifts. It was such a sweet touch and made for the cutest pictures. It was such a perfect day - thank you Hartefeld!

My husband and I usually enjoy happy hour at The Grill, however, this past Friday we were terribly disappointed. I had the pretzel and crab dip, my husband had a hamburger. The pretzels were hard as rocks and the crab? (If there was any crabmeat?) was lousy! It had the worst seasoning ever! My husband's hamburger was way too salty! Shame! Hoping that the regular chef

Came here for a business lunch and the service and food quality are just like I remembered almost 15 years ago! From the crab pretzels to the burgers to the service, definitely 1st class! Can't wait to go back when the weather is nicer and sit outside!

Three couples had NYE dinner and none were wowed. Two had scallops- OK, three had prime rib-tough and tasteless, one had salmon-excellent. Portions of sides were small. Dessert was pathetic- cake was still frozen and portion so small it was only two bites and cost $8! Service was very good. The Manager came to table to inquire how the meal was and he was told about the dessert. His reply, "I'm sorry you didn'y enjoy it." We will not return. small.
