My coworkers and I went to Bean Bath Cafe for lunch today, a place we’ve always enjoyed in the past, but this visit was extremely disappointing.
From the moment we walked in (a group of six), we were nearly scolded for not having a reservation. Throughout our time there, both the waitress and the cook made multiple rude and profane comments—not only about us, but about other customers as well. Comments like “Are you fing kidding me?!” were said out loud, and after a customer was told they could sit anywhere, the cook loudly complained, “Really… you’re going to fing sit at a four top when there are only two of you.”
It was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and honestly shocking to hear staff speak this way in front of customers. This was one of the rudest restaurant experiences I’ve ever had, and it’s especially sad given how much we used to enjoy coming here. Unfortunately, based on this visit, we won’t be returning.

We cannot say enough great things about this place. We have been here many times and every single experience has been 10 out of 10. The food is fantastic every time and it comes out very quickly, but I think our favorite part is the staff. They are the friendliest kindest people you could ever meet and we always have great conversation. They truly make you feel like family. This is hands-down, our favorite brunch spot! If we could give a higher rating than five stars, we would!

The baked goods and coffee are delicious, and I really enjoyed their avocado toast! The staff are super friendly too! The only thing I wish they had different was whether we could order a small, medium, or large. Other than that, everything is great! Glad to have a cute little place like this in town!
Great food. They can’t be bothered to answer the phone. We have tried calling numerous times during business hours to order pickup with no answer. Not only no answer, but we have had them answer then take the phone off the hook. Do better. Trying to give money to your small business.

I don’t give a lot of places 5 stars in all categories but this place has earned every one of them. I’ve been here twice, the first time was packed and had a bit of a wait, but was well worth it. The second time we came in about 30 minutes before close and were going to take our food to go as to not make staff stay late, and instead they were very polite and welcomed us to stay. The food is phenomenal, I highly recommend the omelets. It’s a family business and they were awesome. Checked on us, had good conversation and were welcoming. Not only was their pricing extremely fair, they also have a quite impressive collection of hot sauces to choose from which is amazing. And aside from the hot sauce bar, the place is small but the atmosphere, layout and furniture choices are all spot on. All their drinks are good, they have tons of ample parking, outdoor seating and they even have a drive through! Will definitely be coming back.
