We arrived after 8 p.m. for a group of 6 to eat. The waiter started off good. However, after our food was ordered things went down hill. No refills were offered due to the waiter not returning to the table. Then once he delivered meals for all but 1 person he never came back. We could see him doing stuff with the other wait staff in their area. One person got up and asked a waitress for the mayonnaise for her sandwich that was requested when she ordered and then she said we were still missing a meal q0 plus minutes after our meal was delivered. She got the meal. Then we asked her for refills. Now the missing waiter of course, made an appearance for the bill to be paid. He never brought us the containers we requested. Since his presence at our table was sparse I just walked up and picked up a few.

An inattentive, disengaged server, some flavorless items on the salad bar (undressed coleslaw and watery cucumber/tomato/onion salad), and pitiful portion sizes of French fries made this a disappointing experience. The bill for our table of 3 (with no appetizers or desserts or specialty drinks) totalling over $76.00 was the nail in the coffin. 😡

This used to be an affordable, local family restaurant - now it's got Olive Garden prices without any reason to justify them!

I have been here multiple times when I visit my dad in PA. This place is an institution! The serves here make you feel like family and it is a very cozy environment.

I usually never have a bad experience here and especially not on a Saturday, but today was polar opposite. First of all, our waitress, Emily, was extremely slow, she took way too long, she had checked on us once, dropped our check off not even a minute after we got our food and then proceeded to ignore us. My tea was never refilled once, my eggs were far too undercooked and I got food that I didn’t even order. When we actually went to check out when we were done, Emily sat and talked to who I assume was a coworker for 15 minutes before picking up our check. Ironic for how quickly she dropped it off. The funniest part about our interaction was that she didn’t even ring up the right check! Our check number was 7116 and she rang us out for 7114.

All in all, I’ve never been more disappointed and dissatisfied with the service we received today. Definitely will be requesting a different waitress next time.

The Good:

The restaurant was clean, the food was good, and the salad bar stocked with quality food (crisp lettuce, ripe fruit, etc.)

The Bad:

If you sat me in Takirah's section again I would walk out. My meal and kids meal arrived from a different waitress, with my spouses missing for 10 minutes before our waitress asked if we needed anything. After pointing out my spouse's meal was missing, we were told that it was the fault of the kitchen and they were making it (it was another 15 minutes before it arrived). Drinks were refilled by another waitress after being empty for awhile; after the refills were delivered our waitress walked over to ask if we needed any refills (an eye roll moment for us because she knew another waitress refulled them moments before). We had to request the cookie as part of the kids meal several times and gave up on it until our waitress walked by again as we were leaving. We also wanted desert, but were given the check and asked if we needed anything else as she walked away. Honestly, the service was so poor that I didn't speak up for desert because I didn't want to add another $20-$30 to the bill to increase the tip. Yes we still tipped - maybe she was new, hahving a bad day, etc. but we stick to 10% instead of the typical 25-30% when service is poor and we want to give the benefit of the doubt. Finally, this might be random but she was on the computer to order non-stop and seemed lost (the time on it was noticeable compared to other servers).

Great location. Clean appearance, bright atmosphere. Service was quick and friendly, and food was served reasonably quick. Waitress was super to my wife and I. Only one very minor complaint, was that the home fries were overcooked and dry. I still ate them though because I was starving.... they just needed a bit of ketchup to help soften them while chewing.

Overall great experience at this location!
