Pleasantly surprised. Waitress was wonderful. My coffee was never empty which is huge in my book. We were warned when we sat that food was on a wait, which was fine but it was nice to know in case we were on a time frame. That shows she was more interested in honesty then in just earning a tip. Food was great. Watched the cook come out and ask another table who had requested darker toast if the toast was to their liking, before he plated it. Cute diner atmosphere. Will be back.

Good laid-back diner vibe and good food, but both times I went there the service was good but slow. Unfortunately they seemed understaffed in all areas. I would recommend this restaurant if you are in no hurry and want a good place to eat and visit with your friends (which is what most of the patrons seemed very content with).

Unfortunately they seem to be going downhill. Ordered my usual today and the first thing I noticed was poor quality English muffins. No nooks or crannies. Next, the pepper jack cheese that I ordered in my omelet was yellow American. It's a shame. I've been ordering from here for months and the food was always good.

Quaint atmosphere, play 50s music, big counter along with several tables. Service is good: servers are friendly and courteous. I've only had breakfast there but it's prepared well and is fresh. They also serve smash burgers and sandwiches. Prices are very fair. Coffee is hot and fresh. Stopped at this restaurant initially due to they open at 6 am (other restaurants in the area open at 7 am): I'm working nights and get off at 6 am so this place is convenient. Would recommend this restaurant to others

We had a To go order today and it was pretty disappointing. My kids both got pancakes and they said they were gross. They had a weird fishiness that was really off putting. You know somethings wrong when kids dont want to eat pancakes! I got a breakfast sandwich on rye and the bread tasted like burnt oil, and the sandwich was bland, no seasoning in the eggs. I don't normally write reviews, but $50 on food and 3 out of 4 were disappointed.
Great food! Had the mushroom/goat cheese hash with an egg. Delicious, ~$17. Service was a bit slow, but it was at peak time 1130 Sunday AM. A bit noisy too, but again at peak. Definitely will return.

I had a great experience at Hash and Smash! The service was quick and everyone was very friendly, which made the visit even better. The space was very clean and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and prepared perfectly.
