I stopped in on a whim, grabbed a single cookie, and it ended up being the kind of thing that shuts you up mid-bite. Everything about it: the texture, the warmth, the balance of sweetness. It felt like someone back there actually cares about what they’re making instead of just cranking out sugary filler.
The place itself is simple, clean, and run by people who know their craft. No pretentious nonsense, no trying-too-hard vibe. Just genuinely good baked goods made by people who understand flavor and execution.
If a single cookie can hit this hard, the rest of the menu is probably dangerous. I’ll be back, and I’m bringing a bigger appetite.
Decided to make the trip out to visit this bakery after hearing so many good things about it and can say it deserves all the praise it gets. My favorite item that we got was a pecan pastry, I wish I'd taken a photo but I immediately demolished it on the drive home.
The sweet employee that helped us even gave my daughter a free cookie, which was a nice touch.

I just had to post about the incredible Neapolitan quarter sheet cake Kretchmar’s so beautifully decorated in French buttercream for my Mom’s 92nd birthday. From the moment I picked it up from their smiling counter person, I was so excited to present it to my Mom and family after dinner. I wish you could have seen how her face - everyone’s faces - lit up. Brighter than the candles! And the marbling inside was so perfect with the pink. The taste of both the icing and cake was beyond expectations. Thank you, Kretchmar’s Bakery, for sharing your gifts with my Mom and family. The cake truly added to the special day!

Whoa! What a delicious donut. I had a cream filled donut at work the other day and it was great. So I wanted more and stopped at Kretchmars bakery a few days later. The price is right the donut is stuffed with the best cream you can get.
This is this best bakery . My mom brought a cake from here ,and I'm still thinking about it a year later

What a lovely place to stop in for a morning treat. The pastry selection was much larger than expected, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious—from the maple cinnamon roll and classic cinnamon roll to the peanut butter bar, raspberry danish, apple turnover, and cinnamon muffin. Highly recommend warming up the cinnamon roll for extra goodness! The staff was super friendly, and service was quick. Such a great local gem—definitely worth a visit

I got the toasted almond torte for my mom's birthday. Went to cut into the cake and it was frozen and the almond slivers were soggy. Disappointing and dissatisfied is an understatement. Would not recommend.

My family loved all of the items I took home to them: burnt almond torte, petite fours, cannoli, danish cupcakes (the definitive favorite), fruit pie/flips, and cinnamon rolls. It was later in the day and they still had a large selection to choose from. Workers were patient, helpful and very nice. Prices were reasonable. Take out.
