The Standard has a nice location right along the river, but car parking is very limited. From the road it looks like a fairly big spot, though once inside it's much smaller. The center bar seemed to be the main draw-most of the guests were seated there.
The drink selection was impressive, with at least 20 beers on draft and a good variety of cocktails. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the same standards. I ordered the crab cakes, which were small and lacked flavor, and the side of veggies turned out to be just a plate of steamed broccoli. Service started off fine, but as we finished our meal, our server disappeared for about 20 mins, which left us waiting to wrap things up. Overall, a decent place for a drink along the river with a nice outdoor patio, but the food and service left us underwhelmed.

This was our first visit. We went on a Wednesday when they had game night. Though that seemed like fun, I didn't participate. The music was too loud to have a conversation at our table. They weren't terribly busy, but service was slow, and I don't mean the wait for the wings, which was expected (as per their menu) and I understand cooking times. I just felt our server could have checked in with us more often. I probably would have ordered a second drink. The first drink didn't impress me, though. We had wings, and they were out of this world good! Good enough that we will be back to give their service another chance.
