Made a last minute decision to go out for News years after our original plans changed. Wait time was reasonable and the staff went above and beyond. Food was delicious and thankful we got to celebrate at such a great local restaurant.

I've eaten here a handful of times now and I think I've gotten a base for how everything is. The waitstaff is sweet, caring and earnest in wanting the customers to have a nice experience. When busy, they aren't as attentive but we've never had to wait too long for anything. I love the atmosphere. It does seem a bit dark in the back and I've noticed a few people using their phones to light up the menu. Other than that, I can't say too many negatives. When the bar is packed, you can still sit in the back and have a pleasurable dining experience. The food, for the most part is good. We have had some things over salted or too well done but never inedible. The tuna appetizer is one of our favorites and the tots are so well done! I recommend getting something different each time you visit. They really do well with their flavors!

One would think Belle Vernon /North Belle Vernon is limited on upscale quality food and drink but 1933 was an absolute home run. What a pleasant surprise, and quite possibly one of the best meals I have had in quite some time. The ribeye was perfect. Their special mashed potatoes are to die for. And they are very serious about their old fashioneds . Large ice cube, black cherry, and a special smoker. You’ve got to check this place out

Five stars all the way for 1933! This place nails the hometown bar and grill experience. The dark, shadowy lighting accents are a brilliant touch, adding so much character and a really cozy feel. Our waitress was an absolute delight – super friendly and efficient. But the real star of the show? That smashburger. Seriously, it was fantastic! Easily one of the best I've had. If you're looking for great food, great service, and a fantastic atmosphere, 1933 is your spot.
