Nice scenery. Nice crowd food was good except the chicken. Had too much seasoning.

Even before PA state restrictions for COVID-19, this restaurant was basically closed, and only the bar was open. We arrived with out of town guests (hungry after their long trip) and we were told that the chef didn't report to work. Shame, this used to be a nice steakhouse.

Friendly staff and excellent service. Nothing at all to complain about!

Not bad, decent daily specials, but if you walk in and there is a DJ or you see one start to set up while youre there, please do yourself a favor for your own well being and leave. DJ plays so loudly that it is an unsafe level. It is literally a health hazard. Unless you enjoy tinnitus.

On 2-22-2020 I was at Sweeney’s I was wearing my trump 2020 shirt. I asked the DJ to play a song and be told me no he would not play any of my music because of my shirt. I have it on video and will be uploaded to my Facebook I was not rude in anyway and offered to buy them drinks. I asked to play an RB song also which most people would enjoy. Truly unreal for someone who spends 300 a week there. Never again

It took 50 minutes to get 2 salads. I ordered a steak salad and my husband ordered a chicken salad. They brought us 2 steak salads. Will not be back!

Waited 45 mins for a drink yeah it was busy but with 4 bartenders should of been better

Food was outstanding and so was the service!

First time here, Shawna is doing amazing!! She was busy but she did a great job and was very attentive and fast. All in all she is a great bartender.

Stopped in for a nice dinner after a show in Pgh. Wow! Was greeted by the bartender who warned us that the cook called off today, therefore they have a limited menu of salads and sandwiches. Well ok we’re hungry so we stayed. Ordered a Reuben then was told after the fact that they no longer serve them and it should be taken off the menu. We wanted to use a gift certificate for our meal but was told we would get no change back from our $50 GC after having to order two sandwiches. Bartender was nice but primary focus was certainly on the bar not the restaurant. Also we were the only ones in there and it felt like the heat had been shut off. Dark and dreary environment. Furnishings and floorings have been neglected.

Had never been but was at original Sweeneys minus Steakhouse years ago. Clean & comfy, low staffed so bartender was doing it all. Food was very good and fresh, well prepared and though she was taking care of it all & missed refills in a timely fashion, a good experience was had. Would do again!

It's not the worst place I've ever been but it is not a place I would recommend. It's overpriced and you could tell there is no love in the food. Very outdated and a little on the dirty side
