Warning. This place no longer offers ribs. There is just crappy bar food. I was so crestfallen when I came in and it was nothing but tattooed men sitting at the bar. I only stayed because it was crappy and rainy out.

Came here for a quick bite now I'm hooked for life. One of the best coffee rubbed BBQ sandwich I've ever had. This place is a true gem. The server Julie adds to the greatness of this place. A must if u visit Bensalem.

A good BBQ spot at an affordable price on Street Rd. My wife and I decided to give this place a try after reading the rave reviews. A few things to keep in mind before trying this restaurant out. The restaurant is in the Best Western hotel, not even in the front, you need to awkwardly head to the back of the joint to find the place. At first glance it looks like a little dive bar. We visited at 8:30PM on a Saturday night so our experience may have been out of the norm. We actually missed the turn because the sign is so small it's easy to miss. Worse, if you miss the turn you need to drive at least a half mile if not further to turn around (if you're headed towards Feasterville-Trevose that is). We were greeted by Julie. Our first thought as we watched her run both the bar and attend to the floor was, seriously? This place with such great reviews is being run by one person? Julie is actually a true gem, personable and went out of her way to get everyone's name that comes into the place. If you do meet her ask about her trip to Chile but wait until after you've eaten already ;) As for the food. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars however there were just too many things that went wrong. Keep in mind, we showed up 30 minutes before the kitchen closes so our experience may be different from others. I will say, the coffee rubbed brisket was delicious! My wife got the Kielbasa sandwich however unfortunately it was cold and just didn't look palatable. We ordered the Pulled Pork spring rolls as an appetizer. Unfortunately we only received 2 small rolls and they were cold on the inside. The sides were good but not great although the hush puppies were also cold on the inside. Like I said our timing may have been the biggest influencer there. The portions of the meal were very fair. I saw some reviews about the portions being small but the brisket was about as much as any healthy person would want in any one sitting. The service wasn't bad, Julie was very welcoming and did a good job being she was running things by herself but if the management is reading this having another employee would help give the place a more favorable appearance. With all this said the brisket was good enough that I'd come back again but next time I'll try to come when the food probably hasn't been sitting out too long. One last note I didn't try the ribs because to this day I haven't had better ribs than Chicken Holiday which is in Langhorne/Levittown near the Oxford Valley Mall. I'll try these ribs at some point and hopefully will revise my rating upwards, overall the place is worth a try at the least.

For being a little place in a hotel, they had some killer food! Everything I had was homemade from the Mac n cheese to the hush puppies. Deb was probably one of the nicest bartenders I've talked to in a while. She makes you feel like a regular after being there a few minutes. Beer selection had plenty of craft beers, some local some not. Don't judge a book by its cover, this place is a must if you're staying close.

Friday lunch. We were the only patrons. Bright, inviting modern pub feel. Very friendly. Small but eclectic craft beer slelctions. Fantastic pint price. Food was done in 10min. Solid prices per serving. Coffee brisquet was indeed good. Excellent Mac and cheese. Felt very odd inside the best western. Plus indeed!

It was just okay, for a BBQ place in a Best Western. I see all the good reviews, so either we caught the restaurant on a bad night or there's lots of people with bad taste in BBQ.

Don't let this place being at Best Western throw you, this is real BBQ, not chain style slop. Beer selection, both on tap and bottled, is fantastic. Had the pulled pork sandwich, which was very good, the collards greens are out of this world. Wait staff was very friendly and the price is right. I love BBQ and will be going back.

This place is the definition of hidden gem! Don't be put off by its location inside a hotel - this was some of the best BBQ I've eaten. Plump, juicy smoked chicken. Killer, lean but tender coffee rubbed brisket. Perfect pulled pork. Each platter is only around $11 and comes with hush puppies AND three sides. The kids meal would be a healthy portion for a grown up - we got the pulled pork (came on a bun) with sweet potato fries and our toddler loved it. The four BBQ sauces on the table are distinct and awesome. And the beer list! Incredible craft beers at just $4 a pint. Coming from NYC that is an amazing bargain. Dinner for three people with two beers was only $40. So worth it. Julie, the waitress, is friendly and instantly learns everyone's names. We learned they have smokers in the back and everything is cooked on site. So happy to have found this place!!

I stopped in today had a pulled pork sandwich good portion.pork was cooked well very moist and tender and the roll was decent. i didnt care for their sauces. Thankfully the pork was good enough to stand on it's own for the most part. They have a spicey, tangy, vinegar and a mustard sauce to choose from. I tried the spicey and tangy, and was disappointed the spicey was ok but it honestly tasted like they used a1 steak sauce for the base i ended up only putting a little on my sandwich. Not sure how to describe the tangy other than i didnt care for it. Its worth checking out if you are in the immediate area and want to grab a beer and some bbq but there are better options for bbq in the area

The beer selection was excellent - FIn du Monde on tap!! - and the BBQ was above average. Plus you get to feel cool eating at a little know restaurant in a Best Western... practically like a speakeasy!

Went there for lunch today one many Yelper's recommendations. I have to say that the gentleman who was behind the bar was friendly and helpful. The platter came out in decent time. Where I feel Ben's falls way short is in the portion size. I see all of these photos of piles of brisket. Mine was Three small slices that look more like pot roast than brisket. The sandwiches the guys next to me ordered had more meat than my platter at 1/3 the price. The sides were tiny but I expected that from the photos. The corn bread was the size of a silver dollar. The food tasted OK. By far not worth 5 stars. $13.00 and I was still hungry when I left. Charge me more but fill me up.

This is probably the worst service I have received in a while. Although it is a holiday weekend , there is no sense of order. Only one bartender, who keeps telling me 5 to 10 more min, but then takes someone else's order that she knows before me. Very frustrating. As I'm waiting, people that have ordered food to go have come back because their order is wrong or is missing something.

Tremendously bad service. How do you have 1 elderly lady working at a BBQ joint in July 4th weekend. She can not handle the volume. Management should be ashamed that they left her here alone. Orders are taken at random. We have been sitting waiting 20 min while other people just walk up and put in orders. I don't blame the one elderly lady working, I blame management for not staffing properly

Found Ben's BBQ and Beer via Yelp. I have driven by this hotel a dozen or more times and never knew the place existed inside. The dry-rubbed brisket was phenomenal -- delicious, tender. Very affordable menu. The sides I had -- sweet potato fries, regular fries and mac n cheese were just ok -- the regular fries were the best -- fresh-cut. The cornbread was tasty -- actually a tiny corn muffin. Great beer selection with some rarities. Julie -- the bartender/waitress/cashier was friendly and helpful. Not much on atmosphere. Go for the food. I look forward to returning.

It may be in the back of a best western but it has carefully selected beer, games and BBQ that was 1000 times our expectation. Awesome!
