So it was our first time staying in this side of town. We normally stay on Cannery row but we wanted to be adventurous and stay somewhere different so we chose sand castle inn witch I must say very very nice for the price. I thought it was gonna be bad but nothing close to bad. Anyways we ended up going to this bar where all the locals hang out. I was on a business trip and had big car issues. they let me hang out, customers tried to help with my car and rides, bartenders are so kind and welcoming...and didn't expect me to drink the few days I had to go back, since it was the only place willing to help me ... I'm very grateful to the staff and customers and highly recommend this spot

Down and dirty dive Bar and it's fantastic! Jukebox playing random music, good beer a very pleasant bartender. Locals are nice as well. If you looking for a low brow place to get your swerve on, this is the place. Cash only.
