Good place for bite to eat after hiking.
We got lunch and ice cream here. The burger, hot dog, and chili dog were great. Unfortunately the fries tasted like they’d been cooked in old oil and were a bit limp. The ice cream selection was good, they even have a vegan option (not vegan, but we have vegan friends so take note of these things). We were disappointed with the water ice—only cotton candy flavored and an odd texture.
Great soft serve ice cream!
My first time actually getting to stop there - usually my timing isn't right. It was OK. I had the small s'mores sundae on coffee ice cream. The coffee ice cream was old or their freezer has issues - not sure which. It had ice crystals through it. The serving size was good. I also got a pup cup for my dog. He loved it. Even with paying PA taxes, the cost seemed reasonable. The service was friendly to me. They also reimbursed an elderly couple who felt they had been seriously shorted in the ice cream soda by only getting a half serving, not a full cup. (They were long time customers and were saddened to see the treat that they loved cut so far back from its original as this had become a trend with this item - but that may be the costly world we currently live in.). My bet is both me and that couple will be looking for what other options are available.
Nothing like some ice cream after a hike
The Red Rock Sundae and grilled cheese with chicken tender in it is to die for ❤️
Adorable ice cream shop with super fun decor!
Lots of nice choices! And their milkshakes are perfect consistency.
Awesome ice cream. Perfect place for a cold treat after hiking Ricketts Glen!
Took my boys for our yearly Lake Jean trip today, finishing it off with ice cream! As always, the service was amazing and the ice cream was refreshing. Their portions are very, very reasonable! They have so many choices. And as my kids say "the cool, big, yellow chair!"

Great way to refresh and reload after hiking at Ricketts Glen. Charming local ice cream joint.
Only had one non-dairy icecream, and they charged 2 extra dollars for it. A double scoop was 6 dollars. Ice cream wasn’t bad, but it was a little too sweet.
Good ice cream. My dog loved it
The Ice Cream was absolutely AMAZING!!! Red Rock Scoop was located right next to Rickett's Glen State Park making it a perfect stop after hiking and spending time at the park!! Stopping at Red Rock Scoop is always an amazing experience!
Said they were open until 9; arrived at 8:15 and it was closed. Very disappointed!
