Handel's Homemade Ice Cream & Yogurt

We love handles usually. We drive from 30 minutes away on my wife's birthday because all she wanted for her birthday was a hurricane. We got there 10 minutes before they closed and they informed us that they turned off the machine that makes the hurricane ice cream and couldn't make it for us. The woman offered no other options. Please note we called on our way to order in advance at 9:40pm and were informed that it was too late to place a call ahead order. Again we love handles but when we needed it most for my wife's birthday they really let us down with their service.

I went there and a person who was serving shut the door in my face her name is Samie but when I went to a different window to talk and complain the lady yelled and said we are the manager like this is how they have managers who don't know how to serve.

WOW. Stopped here for our ice cream last night. Sundaes were HUGE and delicious and employees were so hard working and friendly. Was surprised at the affordable prices -- just over $9 for a huge banana split when other places were charging that for a single scoop. Definitely worth a trip to Handel's!!

I am a former employee of Handel’s in Downingtown. The owners (Maria and Andy) are dedicated to creating a fantastic and craveable product unlike any other owner/operators I’ve ever worked for. They treat people with respect with their words and actions, and they care about every guest’s experience. They go above and beyond to create a winning culture, and to assemble a winning team of motivated individuals focused on a customer service. I would recommend this location and its products to every and anyone.

The best ice cream in town .... tried Handel's for the first time. Heard people's comments on how yum Handel's ice cream is. Now I can totally get it. Great ice cream, good price, and over the moon quantity.

This is our first visit here abd we were not disappointed. We both ordered the vanilla truffle with carmel. The ice cream was a bit bland but overall it was average. If I had an other choice for ice cream in the area I might go there.

This place I never been to super overpriced for a one scoop of small ice cream for six bucks. Extremely weird. I get it. It's Main line but still West Chester is the main line.

Handel's Homemade Ice Cream & Yogurt is a great place to go for dessert, especially on a hot day. The ice cream is so refreshing. After waiting in line, one orders at the walk up window. There are a couple of benches nearby and a couple tables a short walk from the window; however, I chose to eat in my car due to the weather. I had the delicous chocoholic chunk in a medium size cup. It was excellent.

Handels homemade Ice cream in Berwyn Pa is handels done right!!!! Haley and Casey know how to please customers! Ice cream is perfect there. It’s a safe environment for workers and a great hangout for kids and adults in the community!!!!!! Please bring your kids here you won’t regret it!

I went to handles to get some ice cream the young man who is buying the counter was extremely rude. I was there with my wife. I was taken back by his attitude. I have been going to handles for a long time and have even gone to the new one in Downingtown really great location great attitude. This young man had a poor attitude. Then he proceeded to tell me he could not make an ice cream hurricane with no other flavor than vanilla which I thought was foolish because I’ve had it done there with other flavors and it downtown and he clearly was bothered. Did I questioned him on it and his demeanor changed and at that point I just said I was not interested anything else and I’ve heard this from other people before that handles and has a little attitude so maybe they can take that attitude and change it that way they will continue to get negative reviews. Very very disheartening.
