First time here. More like 4.5 stars. Overall, I like this place. It’s well decorated—interior design is thoughtful and tasteful, not tacky. It shares parking in the back with several other small establishments. Today it’s pouring outside, so it’s extra quiet. Yet I can imagine parking may be challenging on a sunny day.Food-wise, I think their sushi rolls are better than their ramen—I’m just not into their noodle’s texture. Their sushi rolls are of decent size and quality in their respective price category.Service is friendly. My only reservation today is: The restaurant is noticeably cold, as if they didn’t turn on the heat.

Love this place. It has become our go-to for sushi and ramen. I have done both dine in and take out. Food is always fresh and delicious, service is excellent (the owner is so nice and welcoming). Lots of parking in the back. Highly recommend!

Vegetarian Rolls: Great!Vegetarian Ramen: It was ok but needs flavor. Miso, garlic, spicy, sesame, or just anything. Hoping you add something to this.Pork Ramen: Noodles were overcooked.Super nice server.

Great BYOB sushi restaurant. We ordered a few apps including the seaweed salad and mango tuna wrap. The seaweed salad was very good and the mango tuna wrap was awesome. We then had some specialty sushi rolls and a sashimi plate. Everybody enjoyed everything. We did not try the ramen so can't comment on that. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Would definitely come back.

Went there for lunch on after picking up my son from morning school on Friday. We were very excited to try a newer local ramen restaurant. We waited for 45 mins for our ramen to come. And when I gave the waitress feedback on how long we had to wait she offer to give me the check right away without apologizing. I was really stunned by it since we just started eating. And when I asked for check after finish, there was no acknowledgment. She apparently had a long morning with one other table there. The food was lukewarm and chicken taste days old. Very disappointed. Not the type of service or atmosphere we’d expect.

I made it back to Motto tonight! (After a dynamite take out experience previously reviewed). Amazing! My friend and I BYOBed it with a great French white wine, and shared the "Motto Motto roll" for an appetizer- it incorporates spicy tuna, seared steak, asparagus, scallion, truffle and mushroom oil and is delicious. Now, if you, like most folks, equate Ramen to the 3 for a dollar sodium bombs you had when you were a broke college kid, you owe it to yourself to try Ramen at Motto- it is a specialty dish of highest quality, including home made noodles (we followed another Yelper's tip to order their "Tonkotsu Ramen" with the thicker, chewy and wonderful Udon noodles) their incredible 8 hour broth which is the best I ever tasted anywhere in my entire life, along with pork, mushroom, fish cake, red ginger, bamboo shoots, scallion, soft boiled egg. The portion is huge and fully gratifying, and we did not leave a drop! The service was great, it was a very nicely appointed setting and nice and quiet ( I hate noisy restaurants!) and intimate. They have an amazing sushi and sashimi selectio. I give them 5 stars and call them the greatest yet undiscovered restaurant on the Main Line, right across from the Berwyn train station, a couple doors up from 30 Main.

Restaurant is still relatively new. Not very busy on Sunday evening. Service at sushi bar very friendly and prompt. Yellowtail sashimi appetizer (with jalapeño) was very good. Other sashimi was good - but not great (as it can be). We’ll be back; have the feeling that as this place matures, things will only improve.

We had a great family meal there with our toddler. Their kids options covered all the items that we know our child will eat while we got to have more “grown up” food.We also got a catering tray for our family’s Christmas Eve meal and it was not only delicious but ready for pickup when we got there.Thank you for adding to our meal!

Outstanding sushi! Friendly greeting and thoughtful service throughout. Quality of sushi was as good as I've had in as long as I can remember. Inventive menu items, reasonable prices and attention to detail will make this our go-to place for sushi!
