Ordered my favorite dish (Tenderloin wok chili) for takeout today. Asked for it to be extra spicy and to cook hot red chilies into the dish. Got it home and there no spice and the beef actually seemed to be a lesser grade than what is served in the restaurant. Very disappointing!!

My family and I have been coming to Nectar for over a decade, and tonight was by far the worst service we have ever experienced here — or anywhere in Wayne — and it came down to one server.

From the moment we were seated upstairs, he was rushing us. We were told they couldn’t pan-sear our dumplings (something we’ve ordered for years), which I could’ve understood if the kitchen was busy — but the service that followed made it obvious the issue wasn’t the kitchen, it was our server.

We didn’t receive drink menus until after we had finished our appetizers. (I had to ask for them) We weren’t given dinner plates at all until I had to ask when the entrées arrived. And when I asked for dessert menus, he told us to “finish our food first.” At that point, we left without dessert. The busser and other staff were kind and professional — the complete opposite of the treatment we received from our server so I left a regular tip but I felt compelled to write this review I usually don’t do this.

For a $75+ per person dinner, this type of service is unacceptable, and it reflects extremely poorly on the restaurant to have someone like this representing them. After coming here for over a decade, tonight was the first time we felt unwelcome — and the first time we left feeling genuinely disappointed. Management needs to take a hard look at who they’re putting in front of long-time customers.

Disappointing decline from past visits. We’ve been loyal customers for years and always enjoyed exceptional food and attentive service. This visit was a sharp departure.

We cycled through multiple servers during our meal with no apparent coordination between them. Each seemed unaware of what the others had done, leading to repeated questions, forgotten requests, and long waits between courses. The disorganization created a confusing, disjointed experience that felt dismissive at times.

The appetizers were the highlight, but our entrees arrived bland and under seasoned, surprising given the restaurant’s usual high standards and premium pricing.

We still tipped appropriately because we understand current industry challenges, but the experience fell well short of what we’ve come to expect here. Hoping this was an off night rather than a permanent shift in quality.

I was just here with for my brothers birthday - we had 3/4 waiter/watress, one of our spouses would say her order and the waiter would just walk away.

I travel the entire world, and have never been so disrespected in terms of service in regards to what this establishment asks for.

The only quality aspect of this dinner was the pork dumplings, and a cold glass of water. Do not go here.

Overall good not great. Didnt expect when I ordered the Canape style rolls that it would be ground fish on top of sushi roll. My mistake for not asking deeper questions of the server. Did not really like the canape style and def won't order again. The other rolls were good. Server was good and overall service prompt.
