I find it unacceptable when businesses substitute food without prior notice. If an item is unavailable, it should either be removed from the menu or customers should be informed. I requested a full cash refund for my purchase from Uber, but it was denied. I understand that businesses can override such decisions. Unfortunately, Colombino Coffee does not answer phone calls, so I hope they see this message.

Unfortunately you sent me the only item on the menu that I do not enjoy.

Stopped by for an afternoon coffee and to check out the Columbian foods that we were told about. The employee we met there was well versed in the products and we had a great discussion about the coffees and the foods. We took a selection of foods home, and tried one of the coffees in the store.

The idea of the store is that everything comes from Columbia. The coffee comes from several farms in that country while the foods is prepared by the owners in the traditional methods they brought with them. That is not completely true as some of the pastries we saw in the deli case come from Medittera bakery, but it was true of most of their stuff.

As described, the coffee is roasted to a medium levels which allows it to be mellow to drink. The employee described the aroma and tasting notes, but since those are pretty individual, I did not pick up on the same ones. Nonetheless, I did enjoy it.

We took the food home and had it for dinner that night, or for breakfast the next morning. This was somewhat disappointing though. All the doughs are based on masa, so everything is gluten-free. They were all good. What I did not particularly care for were the fillings. The Empanada filling (chicken) was very salty. The Arepa was nondescript and the cheese-filled buns were dry and not flavorful at all. The Mediterra croissant can be purchased there so I will not comment on it.

Will we come back? If I go by there, I will stop for the coffee, but will skip the food offerings.

We stopped in for coffee on Saturday. I got a hot chocolate based on the recommendation from the girl at the counter and my partner got a mocha. Both drinks were absolutely disgusting and we threw them away immediately after leaving the shop and we will not be returning. We aren't looking for a refund or to be told we should have asked for new drinks. We just want the public to know of our experience. Thanks.

I am only going to review the food and customer service. I was trying to find a place with authentic native cuisine. I thought why not the Columbian coffee is great why not try the food. I got every aerapa, empanadas and their cheese bread. The food was not as good as I was hoping. The taste was bad and the cheese balls were hard and completely no taste at all. Why would you call them cheese balls and leave out the cheese. The food is overpriced and is definitely not authentic. Don't get me started on the overpriced sauce they charge you with everything you get. They also don't tell you that when you're ordering your food. Don't bother with the food it is not good at all.

Ariane was my barista, I can, with 100% confidence say, they serve the best Coffee & Tea drinks. COLOBINO is the best coffee house I’ve been to in such a long time. I let her pick any drink for me. So long as it had lavender and, she was spot on! Not only did she make an amazing drink, her and I also conversed until other customers arrived. I’ve never met somebody I could connect with as fast as I did with her. I will recommend this place and talk about it for many days or weeks to come. Thank you COLOMBINO Coffee, for hiring caring and attentive staff like Ariane, and thank you Ariane for the amazing hospitality and, the Lavender Chai Tea surprise 🩶

**They also serve real Chai ☺️ 🍵

I ordered 2 hazelnut lattes one for me and one for a friend, both were terrible. Mine tasted like it had a bunch of cinnamon in it which makes me think that one of the teenagers working there didn’t at least rinse out the equipment from the last drink that was made, and the other had so much chopped hazelnut in it that my friend thought he just gulped a mouthful of coffee grinds. I thought it was going to be hazelnut flavor, not minced hazelnut added to the coffees. Personally can’t think of anyone I know that would like a bunch of minced nuts added to their morning drinks….maybe I’m wrong, maybe people do like that, but both coffees that I ordered today were just disappointing for me and my friend. So much so that I felt like reviewing the store and giving my 2 cents. The only reason I’m not going 1 star is because the employees were nice. I just wish that I had tasted the coffee before I left so I could have gotten a refund or something.
