Based on reviews, I was very disappointed with service and I’m shocked this “okay” place takes months to get into. It took a bit of time to be greeted, didn’t think much of it, the waitress (Carolyn B) apologized, but then we order, get our meals, there’s zero check ins about the meal, ZERO refills of water despite a 2 hour reservation, we had to flag someone down to uncork our bottle (our waitress comes over and spills the bottle, says “did you see me bleed everywhere”...
I can absolutely see why Birchrunville Café books out months in advance! I’ve been following them online for ages without having been, and it paid off when we lucked into a last-minute Saturday night reservation. It turned out to be one of the best dining experiences my husband and I have had in a long time.

All I can say is if you have never been, don't deprive yourself. It's just THAT good. The atmosphere, the food, the staff are all top notch. I can't count the number of times I have been here, and every visit is an experience. Splurge on a good bottle of wine and just do it.
