Amazing beer, great service and atmosphere! Drew's trivia on Tuesday is lots of fun, but hard!

Old Thunder is great! A couple minute walk from my work. Every beer I’ve ever tried there has been delightful! The place is always super clean too, so much so that I’d eat off the floor (including the bathroom). Well done! ?

This Brewery is an absolute destination point for all beer lovers in Pittsburgh and surrounding Areas. If you've not made it as yet just get there, you will have no beer regrets with the selections available. Incredible & attentive Staff, seasoned in the Industry, Amazing ownership all with Extensive Beer / Brewing Pedigrees. Beautiful Location convenient to the area, very comfortable spacious indoor area along with a Great outdoor patio space.

Half the beers on their website menu weren’t on tap. Some guy who I’m assuming was a manager was very rude. Continually rolled his eyes and made a big stink about us and our kids. Decent beer for the 3 they had on tap but won’t be coming back due to rude management

Old Thunder has been open a few years now and I'm surprised I haven't reviewed them yet. We don't go often but have gone a handful of times. First, the space. It is inside the old post office. They did a beautiful job fixing it up. I love when there is a variety of seating available. There is bar seating, tables of different sizes, a couch and some comfy chairs. You can even drink in the "postmaster's office" which is fun. I would caution that you may want to avoid the special events unless you are prepared to deal with some crazy crowds. It is right on the main drag in Blawnox. Parking can sometimes be a pain but not usually too bad. When the weather is nice there is a lot of outdoor seating available. They frequently have food trucks out front. If there isn't a special event typically you can find a place to sit pretty easily. One even we went to there was pretty much no open seating, people standing everywhere and long lines for beers. This can happen lots of places but just be prepared. They make some solid beers in a variety of styles. They typically have a good number of IPAs, which aren't my style. Then a few in the area of lager or Pilsner etc. We can find something to drink if we wind up here. However, typically we only seek it out when they do special releases and that is just because it's our preferred styles. They have put out a few really good barleywines, some tasty stouts and most recently a Wee Heavy. Follow their social media to see when something new gets released. We usually wind up with draft and bottles when they do. Old Thunder can definitely be a fun place to sit and enjoy or beer or meet up with a group to hang out.

Loved this brewery! The atmosphere was clean, roomy and comfortable....something for everyone! Loved the post master general's room! The beer is excellent! We grabbed two four packs to go and they were just as good in the can as they were on tap ....served by an excellent tender! We'll be back and we're bringing friends!

No food not even snacks , no outdoor fires , IPAs tasted bitter to us . Parking horrible on street no open spots can't park in front of place at all, if you like grist house you won't like this beer at all

Enjoyed having a couple of the beers! Great space, both the indoor and outdoor seating.

Friendly local brewery in a remodeled post office. Great beers in a variety of styles, super staff and comestibles available from a rotating lineup of food trucks.

Every beer I’ve tried at Old Thunder has been great. The environment is comfortable, very clean and stylish without feeling contrived. The food trucks are always tempting, but if you want something else there are excellent restaurants within walking distance where you can get takeout to enjoy with your beer. The owners and bartenders are super nice too. Highly recommend a visit!

Had a lot of fun checking out this beautiful brewery in Blawnox. It's inside of an old Post Office and the build-out they did is gorgeous. Probably my favorite brewery interior I've been in!DRINKSCharacter Development #5: An Old Ale conditioned with dark sweet cherries and then naturally-conditioned in stainless for many months. @goodlandercocktails Strawbwery MojitoFOODFrom Blowdfish BBQ: Smoked Pulled Pork, Mac n Cheese, Cole Slaw, & Potatoes - this food absolutely slapped! SO good & SO much for such a reasonable price. Jason and I split ours & still had leftovers. The staff was nice and the clientele weren't shy. Haha. We had a lot of people taking to us which was kind of fun.

This is an old post office that was converted to a brewery. They don't serve food but they have food trucks every day that you can order food and bring into the establishment. I like sitting outside but was worried because it is right in a busy road but it was actually very nice. I recommend sitting outside! If you need your air conditioning there is a beautiful sitting area inside where you also order your drinks. They have a couple of non-beer and non-alcoholic options so everyone can enjoy. This is a nice easy spot to grab a beer with friends and talk.
