I was reminded to do this review after an experience near the end of last year's season.Great story ahead: I went in and ordered a cherry shake or something. Whatever it was I had the option of choosing hard ice cream or soft vanilla with cherry syrup. I explicitly said NOT the cherry syrup with vanilla to the young lady up front who was clearly having a bad day. Then I looked down at my phone 2 minutes and looked up and she was doing the cherry syrup with soft ice cream. I interrupted and reminded her (politely), I said not the cherry syrup please. She (rudely) copped an attitude and said "you didn't say that" I then insisted on the fact that I did.So after some sighing and bemoaning she put the wrong item aside and started it the way I had requested. Then the owner comes in and asks what the botched order is. The young lady and owner then proceeded to have a whisper conversation right in front of me and the service employee said to the owner that I changed my mind half way through the order (HAHA) and the owner instead of asking me anything proceeded to whisper back if she was sure, and that if so they would charge me for both. Keep in mind I'm 4 feet away behind the counter listening to them and looking right at them.The owner then asks are you sure again to her and offers to check the camera in whispers right in front of me. Then she goes to check the camera and the employee that lied tried to hurry me through check out to leave. What a bunch of clowns.I waited a few minutes in spite of the insistence by the employee to check out because I wanted to see what the video recording said. The owner never came back out, so I left.Food: Ice cream above average 3 stars (but nothing to write home about).Service: Garbage, negative stars if possible.Atmosphere: Hostile, negative stars if possible.

The lady owner of this place just kicked my wife and her little mini dachshund, which is a service dog right out. She knows nothing about business ownership because that’s illegal and not one customer was in sight for blocks. I cannot believe this place is still in business. They had no customers eating ice cream within blocks. Boycott this horrible place and go somewhere they actually enjoy doing what they do and don’t mind a little 9lb dog being held.

It was quite an awkward experience going to get ice cream. From the time my girlfriend and I walked into the store we were swarmed by the workers. While trying to look through the ice cream freezer to see what flavors we wanted, we had 4 workers + the owner standing behind the counter staring at us with their arms folded, constantly asking if we have any questions. No I don't have any questions, I just wanted 30 uninterrupted seconds to make a decision on what flavor ice cream I wanted. We were asked MULTIPLE times by the girl wearing the "frozen dessert specialist" name tag if we had any questions while she stood there with her arms crossed.It was so awkward being stared at by the entire workforce, I just wanted to get my ice cream and get out. I used to come here all of the time when I lived in town, but I moved 15-20 minutes out of Bloom and this was my first time back in probably a year, but after that experience I'll stick to the Milkhouse in Berwick; I never felt like I was bothering them when I stopped in for ice cream.It was a Saturday evening in the middle of winter and my girlfriend and I were the only ones in the shop, we weren't holding anyone up, their store hours didn't have them closing for another 2 hours, I don't know why I felt like we were being rushed to get our ice cream and get the hell out.Judging from some of the other reviews here, it looks like I didn't have a unique experience.The ice cream is decent, the service is the worst.

The ice cream is great. The owners - not so much (the woman owner). I'm actually shocked this place is still in business. Scroll through the reviews and you will see 1 star reviews that all state how rude and arrogant the woman who owns the business is. After all these years it seems she still hasn't learned how to provide good customer service.

The ice cream is good but there is an older lady who works there who is so miserable and has a piss poor attitude. While I was looking at the icecream through the glass I was holding my son and he reached over the top and touched a waffle cone. She immediately freaked out “omg did he just touch that, take that one out that has to be thrown away now ugh” then proceeded to look at me and say “you have to pay for that” with a gross snarl. I absolutely understand them not being able to serve it to anyone else and also had not the slightest problem with paying for the cone. It’s a cone for goodness sake. It was her degrading looks and attitude toward us that literally made us feel like we were trash/scum. Absolutely had the worst attitude over such a small situation that could’ve easily been handled a completely different way and a much MUCH better attitude. Won’t be returning that’s for sure. If you go there make sure not to take your small children because a simple small accident will have you leaving there super upset with the way you were treated.
Stopped here for some ice cream while on vacation. Ice cream was delicious! There were so many unique flavors to choose from. Would definitely recommend if you're an ice cream lover!

Went in today while visiting in town and had good ice cream but terrible customer service. We were given attitude when asking certain questions and then witnessed a little boy who didn’t have enough money given attitude as well. When we asked what he was getting the woman claimed she didn’t know after just previously ringing him up. When he didn’t have the extra 50 cents to pay he left. We asked because we wanted to pay for him. A little kindness goes a long way. Ice cream was great, but won’t be back after those colors being shown.
