My bed ridden mother-in-law gets just 5 meals a week and they are supposed to be chopped. She often gets ground/minced or puréed and sometimes chopped. The meals are often the same with pasta and sauce being the main course or side dish. The beef and chicken used to get a fair amount of gravy, but now it’s just dry. I have to doctor everything! I recently heated a meatloaf meal for her and it smelled heavily of grease. It was obvious the cooks fried the ground beef in a pan and sprinkled a bit of gravy over the top. Shameful! How is having to doctor food helping families who are already overwhelmed as carers? I make meals for my family that she can’t always eat. Breaks are nice and constantly sought after, so when we do get a decent Lintons meal (think holiday or a random good day or cook), it’s just heat and serve. The portion sizes can be a bit bigger, even for my 90lb mother-in-law. We are not feeding a child. - Now, what prompted me to write this review is that I went to heat up a macaroni and beef dinner for her tonight and found that the pasta had no beef! I tried a second one with the same label and again, no beef! It was a waste of time and resources. The pasta was so mushy that I had to throw it out. Obviously overcooked. I taste most of what she gets because I care about her food. If you wouldn’t feed this to your mother, why feed it to mine?!! Where is your quality control? I’m not looking for 5 star or even 4. 3 should be plenty if you are a business that feeds thousands; especially the poor, sick, elderly and shut-in. They don’t get steak and lobster, so at least be generous and attentive when cooking what this program provides. Again, as a carer; getting a break by heating meals is welcoming. My mom always said not to look a gift horse in the mouth and I agree. But when it becomes obvious the gift giver just doesn’t care at all, you have to start pushing back. You can do better Lintons.

I am now adding to this review! Please see last photo that I posted. As of 8-21-2023 things have gotten progressively worse with this company. My MIL has received the same exact meal for dinner for the past 5 weeks!!!!! Welfare recipients and people in prison have more options than this. Chicken with gravy and broccoli and mashed potatoes for 25 days in a row is insanity. The owners and management would not tolerate this for themselves or their own elderly or chronically ill parent. Absolutely disgusting service. You should not be in business.

Lintons is a top notch organization. Hands down the best organization I have ever worked with!

Management lack skills and don’t have the qualifications for certain positions. They show discrimination towards employees. They Don’t follow proper food safety procedures such as
Clean — Wash hands and surfaces often.
Separate — Don't cross-contaminate.
Cook — Cook to the right temperature.
Chill — Refrigerate promptly.
Always refrigerate perishable food within 2 hours—1 hour when the temperature is above 90 °F (32.2 ºC).
These procedures are not being followed .
I visited Smedley charter school and Lintons management cooks for the students . Came into contact with the manager Jessica on two occasions. She is very ,very rude . She lacks knowledge. Her staff is not keeping up with kitchen equipment the kitchen isn’t being properly sanitized .I found mouse droppings and bugs in food . This is disgraceful .
