We also love the Nonna’s pie - square, but thinner crusted than a Sicilian pie with a excellent cheese blend and just a bit of heat/spice. “As a hermit myself, Eremita is the most inviting coffee shop in the area. Yeah sure you could go to Dunkin or Starbucks also on Ridge Ave , but neither of those stores are anything like Eremita. When you walk into the cutest coffee shop in town you’ll fall in love with its eclectic charm instantly. You can immediately tell that this place was built with love and care. They have art on the walls you can buy and other cool events like open mic nights and crafting. While they don’t have sandwiches or big meals, the pastries are to die for, especially the savory puff pastries. There are probably a dozen or so small coffee shops around, but Eremita will also be my go to.“

“I’m a cortado snob and they always deliver perfection. Plus their croissants are the best of any coffee shop I’ve been to in this area, which I think is all of them. It’s strange to have to even make note of this, but especially when I’m in a coffee shop, I really prefer being able to talk to a real live person to place my order and not have to navigate a touchscreen. Chatting with the baristas is part of the enjoyment and reason for leaving your home. So another five stars for human interaction. 😅“
