I live in NYC but am here for a few weeks scouting. If this place were closer to me it would be my comfort spot. I got the "mini meal crab cake" last night and I'd say it was more than a full meal for me- in fact, I'm eating my leftovers for breakfast. I'm from Chesapeake Bay vicinity (crab country) and was quite surprised by how good this was. Did I mention the cole slaw? I'm always looking for good cole slaw and this exceeded my standards. They confirmed they make it there and I can tell. Thank you Aaron + Kate for taking care of me last night while out on a night scout. What a perfect break.

Eaten here several times now, never been disappointed. Large portions and most dinner entrees come with soup or salad, two vegetables, and your choice of one dessert, pudding, jello, or ice cream. They do have a large display case with tons of homemade desserts too. I have always had enough food left to take home for later. Waitress very attentive, but not hovering. Food comes out from kitchen hot and fresh. Very well seasoned and tasty. We look forward to eating here every time we’re in the area.Vegetarian options: From breakfast, pizzas, appetizers, salads, sandwiches, subs, lunch and dinner options plenty of choices for vegetarians.Parking: Large, paved parking lot with handicapped parking available.Kid-friendliness: Children’s menu available for each meal.Wheelchair accessibility: Parking lot is big and paved so accessible for a wheelchair or person with a walker.

I'm from the South and fried chicken is just part of life there! I asked the waitress if they had any fried chicken sandwiches I could order but when I looked up from my menu I noticed that she was confused and then she kept pointing at the grilled chicken sandwich.I said no ma'am same just fried in oil like your fries not on a grill then she said I'm not sure what you're wanting so I looked over at my girlfriend and I said what the hell is going on are you all messing with me?Nope the waitress actually didn't know what a fried chicken sandwich was... I said you could dip the grilled chicken in batter and throw it in the fryer... tada! Fried chicken sandwich lady!And then she just disappeared after I ordered something i didn't even want, since apparently a fried chicken sandwich is non-existent in this J.R.R Tolkiens Middle Earth diner. Then ! My girlfriend kept getting up to go refill our own drinks... Until eventually the owner looked over and saw her and started assisting. I don't think it's a bad place the burger I got was decent I just didn't want a hamburger at the time my girlfriend liked her food I feel like they were just offbeat that day so I'm sure it's actually a good diner but for god sakes train and study and learn the art of the fried chicken sandwich drive by KFC if you have to!
