The Bower Hotel has the best homemade food! I went with my extended family and it was seriously like we were eating at home and my Grandmom or Mom made us supper! The portion sizes are huge and the prices are under priced in my opinion. Go prepared with topics for conversation, an empty stomach and patience because service is amazing but a little slow, but trust me, the FOOD is worth the wait! You have to go here if you are looking for a historic location but with really good food like you find in a fancy restaurant but at prices that are for normal working people. I absolutely loved the portabella wrap and my family members got the more traditional PA Dutch style meat dishes. Definitely a family place. Old fashioned piano and 1800s phone made the kids want to check it out. It's definitely historic (a good educational lesson for teens) and the town is super chill....
