It’s The Big Guy again. And if you read any of my reviews on other local spots you’ll know I usually give it time before I leave a review but, this place is special. Not only is the owner welcoming and accommodating, the service was speedy and personal. Think “classic greasy spoon” without the disgruntled server and rustling of a dinner. The Owner/Cook even made my culinary fantasies come true by serving me cream chipped beef with home fries on a buttered roll. And I gotta tell you, it was prolly the best ensemble I’ve had in years. I will be making this place a ritual. Hopefully I can convince the owner to name the sandwich after me hahaha

If you lived in a big enough town, many of us remember that local candy store or luncheonette that we frequented when we were growing up. Long counters with stools followed by a couple of booths in the back. For some reason they always seemed crowded with folks chowing down on their order. The Grill Shop dates back to the 1940's and, without a doubt, it still maintains the same charm it had back them. This is a local must with a constant flow of folks sitting at the counter or placing takeout orders. Their main focus is basic and good comfort food, hot dogs with the works, hamburgers with the works and about anything else you'd want and we should not forget their "Chick Pot Pie" bowl available every day. The staff is engaging and the customers are happy to find this gem in Boyertown PA, around the corner from the Boyertown Automotive Museum and the Colebrookdate Scenic Railroad. Stop by Monday through Saturday afternoon. If you are in the area, you should stop by and take a step back in time for some great "eats."

First and foremost I can't really comment on the service as I have never dined in....that being said I think the prices are fair and the food is great....takes a little longer to get my order than I would like but it's understandable beings that there is only one guy cooking!!
Food was very good, coffee was not really hot, service was a little slow but it was busy, we ate in the basement which was a little odd but fun nonetheless. Prices were great. Definitely will be back.Kid-friendliness: Toys in basement. Kids loved it.

Great little breakfast & lunch place. Cozy, great service & food. Old school type dive cafe. Wouldn't change a thing! Our new go to breakfast place. Had the breakfast potatoes with fried onions, perfect. Everything else was spot on.
