The best winery in the Lehigh Valley!!!
Try their flight, four to choose. Great wines, friendly staff.
This is a beautiful place to go have a wine tasting. Or just go hang out with friends and have a glass š„.
Wine is good and the place is impressive , but weekdays they really don't have nothing to offer and we were there on a Wednesday only one's there and asked to run a tab because I knew that I wanted to get some bottles when leaving and was told no in case it got buzz or if she would leave before us and after that another lady asked if she could get us something else and told her no and told her about the problem she told us that we could run a tab so we just left I am not going to pay 3 or 4 times to get everything I want I don't do that at other wineries and I just feel that as big of a place like that should be better managed get some proper food to snack on
Great Day!
Move over Herb Ertlinger, thereās a new undrinkable Fruit Wine in town.
I didnāt visit their establishment, but I purchased a bottle of their DeChaunac red wine from my local PAFWGS store.
I was intrigued by the back-label description of the mystique of the DeChaunac grape⦠and heavy berry notes this varietal imparts. I also noticed the weird encouragement that they age their wine in stainless steel barrels, to preserve the fruity notes (who needs the subtle tannic alchemy and expertise of aging wine in oak when you can dump it into sterile industrial vats?) Yes, I read the whole back label and all I could think was - ādear lord, theyāre trying to avoid saying āPlummy Bouquetā.ā
Iām not a wine snob, by any means - and while I paid $13+ for this bottle - Iāve paid $11 for one of the most incredible Sauternes Iāve ever sipped with foie gras from France. You canāt judge a bottle by its price. Or its label.
But I am, unreservedly, sensory aware and a Taster. And Iām giving my trained, honed, natural, and unsolicited opinion.
I wonder how Clover Hill would address the notes of Latex in their wine - much like the tincture of a used band-aid some frat-bro plopped into an untended glass of sangria. And let it steep to bring out the unpalatable flavor notes of a wine that was starved of oxygen and fought a hard fight against sulphur compounds.
Who is the vintner at Clover Hill who tasted this saccharine, one dimensional, explosion of Berry-Fruit Gummies co-mingled with gentle notes of latex and said, ābottle THAT and put our label on it.ā Thatās just a mean thing to do to people with tastebuds. Thatās mean.
I would have given this wine one star, but if you can hide the plastic taste with lots of fresh lemon and orange juice, I think this could make a stellar sangria.
Great. Good wine!!!
The wine's were very good and the service was great
Recently visited and multiple staff members were miserable. We are the kind of people who make the best of every situation but I wonāt go back because of the staff experience. The wine selection was good and the location was nice.
