Such a great flea market to go to if you’re looking for good deals. The people running the place are very good people !!

we drove from wheeling to sell. but they don't allow prepackaged sauces. we sell FDA approved prepackaged bottled bbq, hot sauce, spices etc. nothing on their page says anything about it. shame they said the county doesn't allow for it. guess we won't be going back

We have been to Trader Jack’s multiple times to shop and decided to try to sell. There are no rules on Facebook or their website about selling, besides the cost and we could show up in person on Friday to reserve a spot, or we could show up at 6 am on the day we wanted to sell. We arrived about 6, and I got in line to pay for my spot. There are no signs directing traffic anywhere. I handed the guy at the office a $50 bill, and he complained that I didn’t have exact change. My wife and young children arrived at the same time as me, and parked in the lot. They were putting a few boxes of football and baseball cards in a wagon, as I had my teenage daughter in my vehicle, and was unable to put the boxes of cards. A random old man, smoking a cigarette sped up to the parking lot and started yelling at my wife and kids, saying they were stealing, trying to take things inside to sell. My wife explained that I had bought a spot, and these were things that didn’t fit in the van. She had no idea who this guy was, and was scared for herself and our children. I walked over to her to see what was going on. He yelled at me and threatened to call the police on us because we were stealing. He promised me that I wouldn’t get my money back if I left. I went to the office to find out what was going on - apparently, there’s a sign in the window that has “rules” stating you can’t take things in from a separate vehicle, or park more than one car in a space. However, I was so rushed that I didn’t even have a chance to look at anything in the window. This is NOT stated on the contract that I signed, either. However, according to the contract that I signed, we are supposed to have someone check our space when leaving, to make sure no trash was left behind. (There WAS trash in our space when we got there, which we picked up). My wife went to inquire about this by going in the door of the office and was yelled at because she was supposed to go to the window (where vehicle traffic checks in), but the door was unlocked and there was no sign to go to the window. She was told that no, they don’t check spots, that’s in there because some people just leave stuff (the contract says you have to pay $100 before leaving if your spot is trashed). We also witnessed the man that confronted my wife, confronting a man in a wheelchair a few aisles over. There were curse words exchanged. All in all, the two “staff” we encountered were horrible. Having vendor rules posted on their website and Facebook pages would have prevented a lot of the issues, as well as having signs or people directing traffic for the vendors. We used to go every Father’s Day, as well as one or two other times in the summer, but we are not sure we want to return. We will definitely not be returning as vendors after the way we were treated. A little kindness goes a long way, and we were shown none.

I have been a vendor at trader jacks for a few years now and I have to say it’s the best place we have ever set up at! We have never had a problem with anyone there. We are there year round now and we love it!! Come check it out! There is something for everyone there!!

If you are hungry while shopping at Trader Jacks this is the only place to go. It’s inside the large building and besides a bar and grille they also have a handful of electronic casino games.
