The staff ruins this deli. Rude, ignorant can’t even be polite asking for your order, what chuwant? Or whatchu gettin? Really? That’s customer service . If u hate your job that much that you have to be ignorant, find a new one. People pay alot of money for lunch meat, you could at least be polite. Doesn’t take much, and goes a long way. Oh lord and if you ask for thin cut they really get ignorant. moving that blade must take a lot of effort. They will shred the hell out of it. Few months back they actually had a sign charging a dollar more if you asked it to be cut thin!! The tall blond lady should not be working with the public. Shame. Bad Customer service can kill an establishment.
Today I ordered an Italian hoagie, no onions, no cheese. When I got home I found they had made me an American hoagie with cheese. Since I am lactose intolerant, it went in the trash. A waste of $7.50.

Food is decent, but customer service is absolutely horrible. They intentionally don't even pick up their phone on Sundays. Forcing you to go in and order in person. The problem with that is they only allow one person to serve you so if you need seven hoagies you have to wait for a single person to make seven hoagies!! Ridiculous business practices. Maybe consider your customers instead of pretending the world needs your product. There's a bunch of other places with great hoagies in lower bucks.

Good not great. You do get a lot of meat but it was a pretty average sandwich.

UPDATE - Just went and picked up a large Italian hoagie. No meat! They shrunk the sandwiches. They also now charge 3.5% extra to use ANY card - debit or credit. I used to recommend this place to everyone. Time to find a new go to for hoagies.
A bit pricey but you will get one hell of a hoagie! Enough meat on this thing, you can make 4 sandwiches from it! Can't even close the roll!
UPDATE: I wish the owner knew how many people I just watched go into and back out of the store empty handed. Saturday at 1:20pm and it's so crowded inside, people are walking out because of the wait. Damn shame too. Great hoagie but lack of help.
If people have the opportunity, CALL AHEAD!

Durham deli is one of those old school local spots that you hope is there for the next 50 years. It does the job serving up solid sandwiches and your normal deli fare. The corned beef special was messy but still good. It had cole slaw that was on the runnier side so made a mess of the sandwich. The turkey sandwich was good too. What shocked me was how affordable the prices were. You can’t find places like this anymore.

Best sandwiches in the area packed with 3 times the meat as Wawa sandwiches.

Always good, just need to teach the new people how to slice lunch meat, normal setting, not to thick or to thin.

I'm completely new to this area after starting a new job. Stopped here randomly during my lunch hour a couple weeks ago. I'm still thinking about that chicken salad hoagie - it was so incredibly good. I love supporting small business and this one did not disappoint! Next time, I might call my order ahead because there was kind of a polite, but free-for-all, group-gathering waiting for service at the deli counter. It would not deter me from returning, however.

Yo I’m from NY cuh and I wanted to try a deli in PA, so I came here to thinking it was like a bodega, and this was so bad, I’m talking like toilet water with dog piss on the side. Like omg they don’t even toast the bread, ac they don’t do anything. They don’t cook anything like how do you call your self a deli and only give cold cuts. Trash idk why this is high rated? They start making chop cheeses in PA
