What a fabulous find. We were staying in Scotrun and found this place by chance while doing a search. As soon as we were seated we ordered potato pancakes because we saw there was a lead time needed to prepare them. We ordered several types of Pierogies and the breaded pork chop. Folks, the potato pancakes and pierogies were out of this world. My husband really enjoyed the pork chop too. If you enjoyed traditional foods, eat here!
Of all the pierogies we tried the Mushroom and Kraut were the BOMB. 10/10
Our only negative was that after being offered a beverage choices from a variety in a cooler, we decided to stick with just water.
We got 2 bottles of water at nearly $2 a pop.

Delicious homemade comfort food. I ordered peirogi, grilled kielbasa and haluski. Loved every bite. Would definitely go again, wish it was closer.
I had them cater my dad's 75th bday. The prices were not bad at all. The entire crew is easy to talk to and they handled the stress easily of delivering the order on time. The food came hot. We ordered cucumber salad....delicious! Saurkraut with kielbasa that melted every one with its aromatic flavor that was not too salty and had the absolute smokey flavor of perfection. The pierogi were beyond amazing. And we're snobs with this....we found pierogi that taste almost like my grandmother's. The cabbage rolls were fantastic! Sweet and savory delicious heaven melt in your mouth good. And the potato pancakes...the apple sauce was devoured. The pancakes...they all disappeared faster than all the other food. My entire family will be ordering for Easter and we will make this a monthly tradition to eat at the restaurant. If you want the best polish Ukrainian food this side of the pond go to Babunis. You will honestly not want to stop eating.... best thing to happen to the west end.

The food is incredible. The owner takes pride in the meats and the hot food was incredible. It’s a genuine polish meal and smoked meats.

Amazing food and atmosphere. You will not be disappointed
My half-Polish mother and I were in the area and found Babuni’s Table looking for food via Google Maps. We were thrilled to be able to try authentic Polish food and were even more delighted when we were eating it!
We could tell the food was prepared with care and quality ingredients. We shared orders of potato and cheese pierogies, potato pancakes, and blitzes. My mother also had the grilled chicken sandwich. If it weren’t for health related dietary concerns, we would have eagerly ordered kielbasa and golumpki too!
We ordered the food to take home, with a loaf of rye bread and Kosciusko mustard. The food was as good, if not better, than any homemade Polish food we have eaten. We were so pleased with the food at Babuni’s Table that we planned to order again the following day, our last day in the area, which was a Sunday. Unfortunately the phone did not connect after multiple attempts so I drove down to the restaurant in hopes they were open and just having phone issues. Sadly, their door was locked at 5:30 though the sign showed they close at 6 on Sundays.
We hope the owners and staff of Babuni’s were just taking an early day and nothing was wrong that would cause the restaurant to close before closing time. The Sciota area is very fortunate to have such a gem in their area! If Babuni’s ever considers relocating, I can promise a minimum of two regular customers and more here in eastern Montgomery county PA!

What a fantastic and welcoming Polish restaurant! We came for dinner and were greeted with warm, friendly service from the moment we arrived. The food was incredibly authentic—every dish was full of flavor and clearly made with care.
We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was so kind and even gave our kids some candy, which made their night. It’s clear this place values both tradition and hospitality.
Thank you for a great experience—we hope to visit again the next time we're in the Poconos!
