Phil & Jim's Steaks & Hoagies

Phil and Jim's used to be my favorite spot! My family and I swore by Phil and Jim's. The best cheese steaks hands down. Better than any place including Philly. Their attention to quality shone through their product and their family like atmosphere was so welcoming! Customer service, top tier. My family would travel just to come and order steaks! Now that's slowly faded away and today was probably my last time. Too many bad experiences especially with customer service. But this last time was the icing on the cake. I really wanted a cheese steak. so I ordered on the app to pick up on my lunch break. A LG to share with my husband. No problem on the app there is a section to put customizations. I put exactly "Pickels, Mushrooms, sweet and hot peppers on the side." When I get in I'm asked by a brunette older woman if im here to pick up. No hello nothing, fine its lunch I get it (although there are NO other customers in the store). My guy with the red hair did say Hi to me afterwards (we used to work together). She asked if I ordered online, I say yes. She ask about my peppers on the side I said yes peppers pickles and mushrooms on the side. she tells me that I didn't put that. she says I can just picked the pickles off (whatever). I then ask about the mushrooms and she says they're mixed in. I'm confused because i definitely said on the side. she says we'll you didn't put it in and explains how I should have put to have them on the side and I said I did. she shows me my recipe and as clear as day you can see what I put but they chose to keep put the pickle and mushroom part. I show her that I did and point to it on the recipe. she said no that means extra. Again I show her how it makes no sense if at the top it says pickles and mushrooms then at the bottom its a clear full sentence that says " pickles, mushrooms, sweet and hot peppers on the side." she tells me that's not how it works and that next time I need to word it better. No sorry, no how can we fix this, no remake, nothing just next time for me to fix "my mistake". I wrote in propper engish with correct grammar exactly what I wanted. A almost $30 sandwich I just took a Loss on because my lunch is but so long I was hungry, and my husband didn't want me making a fuss or a "scene". He's the one who hates pickles and mushrooms. And I'm pretty sure he didn't eat his half. Its beyond disappointing. And the quality isn't there like it used to be. yes I absolutely ate it. But could I have just gotten a cheese steak from a pizza shop and been just as happy with quality? Yes I could have and paid less. Never again! And I'll be letting my family know. When they come to town we'll just got to Philly. I'm beyond upset and disappointed! A waste of treating myself for sure!

Phil & Jim's Steaks and Hoagies makes one of the best cheesesteaks in the Philadelphia region! Located in Brookhaven, PA, just minutes outside of Philadelphia. Worth the trip!

What can I say? It's the best cheesesteak in Delco. It's right up there with the great cheesesteaks spots in Philly.

I never complain about cheese steaks but this was terrible. Had a few bites and had a large piece of bone in the steak. Flavor was nasty. Trashed a $30 cheese steak.

I've been going to Phil & Jim's for years and never had a bad sandwich until recently. I got chicken cheese steak and this the 3rd time in the last few months I was disappointed. They must have changed bread companies because the rolls are NOT fresh they are on the stale side. You get more roll than meat, lacks flavor and very dry. I heard they changed ownership again not the same owners from 2yrs ago.

First off the large cheese steak is humongous, I thought it would have been a regular size. So I probably should've gotten either 1 large or 2 small cheese steaks.
